We ate Sunday lunch from the carvery and thoroughly enjoyed it. The desserts were also lovely and a decent size. A great local pub with very friendly staff.

went for a friday night drink with a friend - bar staff friendly and helpful. There was live music which wasn't too loud so friend and could have a natter. Only downside was state of the toilets. These definitely need some attention.

We had a family Sunday lunch here and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. You get a choice from three meats and plenty of veg, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding. Recommended

This was the second time I had visited the pub with friends for the Sunday Carvery - and both times it has been excellent - freshly prepared and the meat tender and well cooked and the selection of vegetables all piping hot. The mashed suede is delicious! The pub itself is a bit 'run down' and in great need of... More

The toilets are simply terrible - totally unacceptable. Usually there is no toilet paper and they often have leaks. The bar staff are great which is just as well because otherwise customers would go elsewhere which many have/do in any case. It would not take much to clean the place once in a while and not take customers for granted.

We hired the function room for our club agm. We arrived to set up and arrange the room and within 10 minutes the landlady had appeared. She was in what can only be described as pyjamas and socks. She abruptly asked us 'who moved the Carvery stand?' We all looked around to see what she was upset about and were... More

Been here for lunch with family to celebrate my mums birthday, very good meal & service. Great to go to a local pub that isn't a part of a big consortium, good home cooked food ( I hear the Sunday carvery is very good too

First time at The Hastings Arms for a Sunday roast and everything was absolutely delicious. the meat was so tender and there was loads of it which pleased hubby as he is a carnivore. The roast potatoes were golden and crispy and home cooked. No frozen ones in sight . Loads of fresh veg too. Would recommend it to anyone... More

I have been coming here for many years - it's a family tradition now. I have never had a bad meal. Everything is cooked brilliantly and the roast potatoes are out of this world. The staff are great and every visit has been enjoyable.

Went here as a family group. Friendly staff and a comfortable restaurant. Traditional Sunday lunch with everything done correctly - what more do you want? Best beef I've had for a long time. Prices are very reasonable. We had a good meal in a relaxed atmosphere. Mostly family groups like ourselves. Would go again. I recommend The Hastings Arms.
