Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really lovely place , warm & friendly staff. Pleasant, unpretentious ambience. The menu is inviting with a range of food and drinks to choose from. Managed to get a table , as was packed out. Spotted a gorgeous cat (Phoebe) laying on one of the...benches. Which added to the family, cosy feel . People also brought dogs in. I was impressed with the generous and well presented food and my coffee was perfect temperature. My friend had a smoothie , which I tried. It was flavoursome & fresh tasting. I will certainly come back as it’s rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes I would like to tick, when I just want an unfussy brunch/lunch experience. Also purchased a piece of cake to takeaway.More

What a wonderful cafè, a bit like stepping back in time…..old fashioned decor, old fashioned service, amazingly friendly staff, great service and THE best food! We had the best beef burger I’ve had for a very long time sitting in wonderful, cosy surroundings with a...lovely friend. The food arrived hot, fresh and looked amazing - tasted even better! We just HAD to have a sweet and chose the waffle with ice cream. It was wonderful, we both struggled to finish it as it was just TOO good to leave even the tiniest bit! As for the staff, they were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We both absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back. The menu was varied with something for everyone. We both had soft drinks although tea, coffee, shakes, wine and local cider were on offer. I really wanted to try the cider but sadly was driving so perhaps next time. Extremely well priced too, won’t break the bank. I am happy to recommend The Bakehouse, Biddenden, to anyone! You’d go far to find somewhere like this with the same, warm, friendly atmosphere. 5 stars.More

Table next to me had breakfast baguettes and they looked amazing too. Very dog friendly, and all good dogs gets treats from the staff... who am I kidding? , ALL dogs are good dogs!More

Had a lunch here with a group of four. We all ordered separate things from the menu, all of which were fantastic, great portions and value in a lovely quaint setting. A real gem. Highly recommended.

Having moved to this part of Kent recently we have often passed by thinking we should stop. Yesterday, on the way back from Southampton was an ideal time. Ohh my what a treat, a warm friendly welcome filled by delicious sausage sandwich with onion chutney...washed down with a delightful cup of hot chocolate. Definitely a place will will be visiting again and not driving byMore

Such a fabulous place. Delicious all day breakfast, beautifully cooked, and much more to boot. Super healthy smoothies, all home made- yum!But this is much more than just a place to eat, this is the hub of village life in Biddenden. Caroline, Emma and Jane...work tirelessly to ensure a massively warm welcome is extended to both locals and non locals alike. Always full of humour and good banter, they will make sure your day feels brighter and happier. This is still a place where people can enjoy good food but still engage in the ancient human art of great conversation. There is even a restored VW camper outside which you can book for those ‘special treats.’ One of my favourite places in the beautiful Garden of England. You will never be disappointed if you visit the ever charming, ever friendly Bakehouse.More

After waiting to be seated and being made to feel very awkward by the waitress totally ignoring my wife and I while she continued to laugh and joke at a nearby table, my wife finally asked if we should sit at an empty table. The...waitress barked at us twice that she would be with us. As she continued to talk to her friends and ignore us, my wife said “don’t bother” and walked out. The waitress called us rude!!!! An unbelievable experience and I can safely say I have never been treated like this before. I do not think the seated customers were too impressed and I cannot believe business is so good that anyone can afford to treat people like this! This is the first time I have ever left a negative review.More

Friendly place, very pretty decor. The only slight downside was being there just after school had finished, children were a bit rowdy but the cafe was just about to close and the kids were heading home soon. Guess better to go when a quieter time...if you are looking for a relaxing break in front of the log burner!More

We decided to go out for breakfast on Good Friday and this place had great reviews. I now know why! A quirky cafe where you get a very warm welcome. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Big enough portions to leave us stuffed. One of...the best cup of teas I've ever had, from a pot with real tea leaves. Highly recommended! We'll certainly be back.More
