We stumbled into the restaurant by accident as my friend had visited many years before and had had a memorable meal here (previous owners tho). However, we were still treated to a lovely traditional italian lunch by the new owners. We started with whitebait and this was followed by a delicous plate of homemade melt-in-the-mouth gnocchi (garlic/mushroom/cream sauce) and a... More

Me and the wife visited here around 10 years ago and unfortunately we didn't have such a good experience (can't really recall why). However a couple months ago we tried again and we are so happy we did. We have been a few times since and food is fantastic and service to match. 3 course meal with a bottle of... More

Worst carbonara I ever had, with salty bacon and overcooked pasta. Spaghetti that suposed with seafood was 99% spaghetti and not much more, just some tiny tiny shrimps, chewy mussels and only one ring of calamari, for real. Horrible pizza with an awful hard crust, dry and almost without topping. the supermarket pizza is much better. the worst restaurant in England. NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

What sort of Italian restaurant runs out of Aperol, or serves a fish pizza almost completely devoid of any topping? I'm afraid that a decent crust is no compensation and the vegetarian pizza was a little odd too, with large slices of raw aubergine. We didn't risk a dessert.

This is a genuine family run establishment. Being somebody not particularly keen on chain restaurants, Da Vinci makes a pleasant change. Service is always good and the menu varied. It's the sort of place that you will find family members coming into the restaurant, which helps give it the informal feel. Prices are quite reasonable for the area. Definitely worth... More
