Just wanted to let everyone know that this pub is now under new management. They are currently undergoing a much needed refurb and will be opening soon serving reasonably priced good quality food to suit all requirements.

We went for a pint just before it closed for refurb? Quiet place, and the decor, furniture was lovely so if it opens again I hope it hasn't become trendy!

Stayed last night in our motorhome as part of the Britstop scheme. Arrived at 330pm and Mike was very helpful in guiding us to where to park. Lovely location with the forest just a few steps out of the back gate. We had time for a short dog walk before it got dark. We ventured in for a drink and... More

We visited on recommendation , the pub has a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. Dogs and walkers are made to feel welcome. (Walks can be accessed at the rear of the pub into the forest)I thoroughly enjoyed my steak and ale pie, the mashed potatoes and vegetables were well cooked. Lots of people were enjoying the Sunday carvery, it looked lovely... More

Recently visited and decided not to stay for something to eat, bar staff didn't seem very friendly, the place could also do with a good some TLC and clean glasses! If someone spent some cash on the place and added a smile I'm sure it could be a lovely little local!

Visited during our stay in the new forest. Lovely dog friendly pub. Great food (and wine) Malbec !. They offer overnight stops for motor homes. Extremely friendly owner. We thoroughly enjoyed our night here. The owner even gave us a lift back to our campsite 😀. We will definitely be returning

We visited this pub twice on our visit to the New Forest - firstly as a great stop off after a very, very long walk. We sat in the garden and used the skittle alley which was great and as a drinking pub we would very, very strongly recommend it. Because of this we decided to go for a meal... More

Just popped in after shopping and ordered two pints of Carling and glass of tap water. The Carling looked well-kept and fresh but the glasses were disgustingly dirty. Awful. Even the Pepsi glass with the water was filthy. Left straight away. Should've complained to staff but equally they were more than capable of noticing unhygienic glasses.
