We were looking for a relaxed, but good quality lunch. The Thomas Lord ticked the box. This is a very busy/ popular pub for eating, rather than a more traditional watering hole. We had to wait quite a while as the frantically busy staff rushed...More

Having driven for over an hour to meet our son and girlfriend we were hoping it would be a good find. In fact it was a wonderful find (thank you TripAdvisor). Having left home in good time we were early for our booked lunch table,...More

Always had good food till now, won't be returning, souffle was not very tasty, burger was unseasoned with watery pulled pork with big fatty bits in it- parmesan fries were nice. Really disappointing. They gave me £5 discount but considering the £14 meal was hardly...More

Wow what a place, although we only had food in the pub at breakfast all was deliciously cooked (fresh and local) all set in an old building full of history. We only spent one night in one of the exterior pods and can't say anymore...More

We both had roast beef. Beef, a generous portion of absolutely delicious beef. Beautifully cooked. Crisp roast potatoes, delicious fresh vegetables and lovely Yorkshire pudding. Plenty of food. Apple pie with Tonka bean custard?!? Tonka bean turns out to be a delicious vanilla/cinnamon flavour, fabulous...More

My in-laws said it was the best fish and chips they had ever had! The food and pub were lovely, as was the service. The rooms luxurious, quiet and well placed in the small lodges. I always rate a hotel on how they deal with...More

Good beer, disappointing sandwich menu. If only dropping in for a quick snack, go somewhere else. The pulled pork brioche roll arrived lukewarm and looking like it had just come out of a sun bed Orange in colour and totally tasteless.

Yes very, they even provide dog biscuits. However dogs are not allowed in the restaurant area but the same menu is available in the bar.
