Sunday lunchtime, on a beautiful sunny day and decided to have a family lunch at The Rising Sun. The pub was really busy but we managed to find a table in the large garden with a great play area for the grandchildren. We found this pub by accident, and I have to say what a wonderful little find. We arrived at 12.20 and the pub was already busy which I think says lot to begin with. Went for food quite expensive for what you get. Nice staff food is a let down good for kids Not going back in a hurry.

Guy who took the order good, my light bite meal Gammon/ was so dull and uninteresting I nearly sent it back it was boring,my wife's Brie and walnuts was just about ok but boring,to much bread just boring

If you're looking for a quiet drink or spot of lunch at a weekend this is not the place to go. If you have children and want a good traditional pub meal, then this is the ideal location.
