Great pub, couldn't bring pushchair into the restaurant- you would need to be in the bar, but we instead just used the carrycot which was fine. Food arrived and it was amazing, perfectly cooked and there was plenty to eat- so you won't go hungry.

We have been meaning to write a review since we visited a few months ago! We have been several times, each for Sunday lunch and have not been disappointed. The roasts are delicious. We will most definitely be returning.

I took my wife, son, daughter in law and two grandchildren for a Sunday lunch. The Phoenix had been recommended so booked a table. The food was exceptional and the staff attentive. Will definitely go again when in the area.

Description
The Phoenix is a historic and magnificent building in a prime location, with a large car park and a beautiful, peaceful garden. The food is simple, fresh, as much as possible local. Andrew Ryder, chef proprietor is passionate about provenance and seasonality. The menu changes frequently, to allow for seasonal favourites. The service is friendly and informal, staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. There is always a good selection of real ales and the extensive wine list suits all tastes and pockets.
