We were 10 people from our WI walking group - very friendly service & excellent food - we all ate from the main menu. Lovely country pub.

Parked her and did a walk . Staff quite happy about it. Good menu and the two meals we had were substantial and very nice. I would avoid the coffee as it comes from one of those push buttons machines and was, well average at best.

I was in a group of ten walkers from Winchester Ramblers and we called at the Yew Tree for lunch. We had pre-ordered. Most of us had only soup or sandwiches but the quality was excellent and the portions very generous. From what we could see the meals from the main menu looked good too. The staff were all friendly... More

Had the goats cheese starter which was excellent. As on other reviews the shoulder of lamb was suberb. The atmosphere and service was good and there was a lovely smell of wood smoke. Good prices e.g. around £4:60 for a large glass of wine. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little pub and good food. Visited with a friend my toddler and our dog and were made to feel very welcome. My toddler couldn't get enough of my savoury bread and butter main course (on the specials board - made with (aside from the obvious) pesto, sundried tomatoes and cheese. And am told the lasagne was very enjoyable. Unfortunately... More

We are so lucky to have such a great local pub close to us where the food has been consistently good over 10 years with such a wide variety of choice - how does Tim do it at such reasonable prices ? Being well out in the "sticks", his policy of realistic prices for both food and drink - and... More

Visited this lovely pub one wet and muddy Thursday evening. Were given a lovely warm welcome and luckily there was a table available in the bar area. The menu was so good, I had difficulty deciding between all the lovely choices. Will definitely be visiting again soon.

Stopped off for a meal mid week and was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of both the food and the service which were outstanding. I would strongly recommend this lovely country pub to one and all.
