Me & my boyfriend went to this restaurant before Valentines Day to see what it was like, we walked in and was greeted by the staff who offered to take our coats and then they sat us down. They offered garlic bread at the beginning with starters and explained all the dishes to us too. When the food come out it is an amazing portion size and it tastes amazing, it’s really good food and we both enjoyed it. We then booked for Valentines. We got all dressed up looking forward to a lovely meal on the 14th and there was live music too which made the atmosphere so amazing with all the other couples there. The wait time is reasonable as well; when the food comes out pepper is always offered which Is good. The food was really really amazing and also so filling and the price for Valentines really was reasonable! I had prawns which was sooo good and the chicken was so amazing aswell. It’s a perfect couples occasion place to go and a perfect place to get really dressed up! The staff was really kind to us and so thoughtful that they gave every woman a real rose at the end of the meal ! Definitely will be coming back .

My wife had been here a couple of months back so this was a first for me but a return visit for her.
To say we were warmly welcomed is an understatement, the staff were so attentive, engaging and cheerful and it was a world away from the "chain" Italians.
The ambiance is traditional and warm and has a feel of a "proper Italian" restaurant.
The menu is extensive and even the fussiest eater should find something they will just love and want to return for. I went for the Pollo Romana and have to say it was delicious, particularly the sauce, nice plump prawns too.
The menu is extremely good value. Shall be returning for sure and looking forward to introducing friends to this great find.

Been here a few times and always have a great meal. The staff are so friendly and helpful and are happy to make any adjustments to menu items for you if required. Went here again on Friday before going to the Palace Theatre. There were 4 of us and everyones food was great. We ordered 2 x Whole Seabass which is so fresh and comes with fresh vegetable and crispy potatoes, 2 x Pumpkin ravioli which were so flavoursome and side ordered of Courgette fries.
Previously had the Salmon Pasta and Plaice which were also great.
All food is so reasonable priced and great value for money.
Looking forward to next visit.

Visit Tuesday evening,it was 5 of us.This is my fourth visit to this great restaurant sense they first opened nearly a year ago,and each and every time I been dining here they always delivered the best fresh and tasty food ever,and the service is the best by far! It was my partner’s birthday and they went an extra mile and brought a fresh homemade panna cotta ( on the house) with a candle on it and they all sang happy birthday to her! Plus on top of that they gave all of us a complimentary drink.
We had a great evening thanks to Il Mondo the owners and the staff!
We definitely will be returning soon !
And to whoever hasn’t try this restaurant yet, I recommend 100% to give it a go ad you will never be disappointed!

We have just come back after having our first meal at this great Italian restaurant. We are both stuffed we both ordered a starter But before our starter arrived they asked us if we wanted garlic bread with cheese yes we both said the garlic bread with cheese arrived and it was so filling. Our starters arrived mine was toasted Brie with a salad my partners was anti pasta we both enjoyed our starter but then our main arrived mine was tagliatelle with salmon and spinach my partners was calf’s liver with vegetables we both could not finished our main course so we both could highly recommend this restaurant and yes we will come back but next time not order so much. Thank you II Mondo we will be back

My wife and myself have been to Il Mondo quite a few times recently, the latest being on Valentines Day and every single time the food, service and ambience have been excellent. The food is always delicious, delivered in good time and generously portioned. The waiting staff are always efficient and welcoming. The prices are exceptionally reasonable. We highly recommend this reataurant

I spent a few days in Westcliff and was looking for somewhere to eat. The restaurant was spacious and pristine, the staff were welcoming the first time and when I returned the following day the staff greeted me like an old friend! The food was delicious both nights. I had a three course meal and a soft drink for just over £20.The pumpkin pasta I had the first evening was absolutely delicious! I had the same desert both evening, panna cotta ,it was lovely . Everything I ate was presented beautifully and tasted gorgeous. I will definitely return the next time I am in the area.

We was at Westcliff Casino New Years day, we are not local to the area we carried out a Google search which sent us to this restaurant. I had the Muscles with Dolcelatte sauce, WOW, that was the best sauce I ever had, followed by the Dover Sole which came with perfectly cooked fresh vegetables and homemade chips.
There were 4 of us that dined at this restaurant and we were all more than happy with the service and qualify of food and the best bit we found the prices to be reasonable. We will definitely return.
Thank you for the excellent service and food we hope to see you again soon

We went with family and friends to celebrate my husband's birthday and retirement. We had a wonderful meal which was delicious and very had generous portions. They sang Happy Birthday with a small candle in his ice cream to mark the occasion. We will certainly be going back.

During my recent visit to Southend staying with Friends who was celebrating a Birthday we had a most enjoyable meal and evening. The welcome was warm and friendly. Sanitizing station on entry and the tables were well spaced from each other, which made us feel very safe and comfortable. Food was excellent lots of Menu choices and a Special Board. Service was First Class, Friendly and Professional and it has a lovely Atmosphere. We girls had a most enjoyable evening and Thank You All for making the evening and very enjoyable Birthday Celebration. Looking forward to my next visit !!!

Got invited by my son and his partner and was blown away by the decor, food, waiters, all the food was so amazing, the waiters were attentive, decorated really lovely, we got little homemade biscuits at the end of our meal & a free shot. I’m definitely going to eat here again and recommend it to everyone. Pics are of starters - tomato & mozzarella, calamari, melt in mouth scallops. Mains - canelloni, seafood canelloni, seared tuna steak. Dessert - panacotta, cheesecake, whisky, baileys & cream cocktail.

Excellent food at a very reasonable price. All six diners were very complementary about the friendly staff and the speed of service. We were having a pre-show meal and managed to enjoy three courses which were all delicious. We even had time to enjoy a complimentary drink served to us with the bill. A very pleasant experience and we will definitely go there again. Great value for money!!!

This restaurant has fast become one of our personal top 5 local places to eat, and definitely No.1 for our special celebrations. The food is fresh and tasty, the service is attentive and friendly and the prices very reasonable for the quality received. All Covid rules are in place and we felt safe and cared for. Well done !

We've been twice now in recent weeks and also ordered a lot of pizzas for an event at the tennis club we play at. Everything we've had has been excellent and is not often that all 5 of us, including our three teenage boys, agree on that. The food is very fresh and very well flavoured. The wild boar ravioli and veal tbone were my choices and both were cooked perfectly. The pasta and pizza were excellent and the garlic cheese bread superb. My wife shared a sea bream and Dover sole with her mother and again both were delicious, the sea bream especially so. Service is friendly and attentive and we will definitely be returning sooner rather than later.

I have never given a restaurant five stars before, but IL Mondo deserves it. From the moment you walk through the door you are made to feel welcome. The service is excellent, but not too much. The food is superb. I had the Pollo Romano, the chicken was tender and succulent, the sauce with King Prawns and Cray Fish tails was to die for. I'll go back just for that! I had the Portobello mushroom to start, which was very tasty. My friend had Calamari, followed by Lasagne, which he said was lovely.
Well worth a visit.
