Well what can I say. We walked past it at 4pm today and noticed it opened at 6pm. Couple of drinks in the pub near by and back we went. Looks lovely through the windows, that's what attracted us in. Just as lovely once in....The staff are all so happy and friendly and so kind and helpful. The food was absolutely fab and even though we come from Durham where generally food is a lot cheaper, the prices were in our eyes too low. Fab restaurant, fab experience and they also do take aways. We will be back, that's for sure. Thankyou to the chefs and all the staff. Just lush xMore

I tried this for the first time in July for a takeaway. I absolutely love Thai food and have tried many good ones in this country and abroad so I've got to know what's good and what's not so good. This was a bit mixed...I'm afraid. Chicken satay was delicious and a generous portion, although the accompanying peanut sauce needed a bit more spice. Thai fish cakes were also good and the sweet chilli dip with them delicious. But a massaman curry was disappointing - flavour was lacking without the depth it should have, and the sauce was really oily, actually separating out. I've never had that with a massaman curry anywhere, and it's one of my favourites. Prices are reasonable and service prompt but not sure I'll try it again.More

We visited on Saturday 19th June as a celebration to see relatives who we have been unable to see for over 12 months, they love Thia and the food is always good. We could not fault the food it was truly excellent, sadly however that...was the only redeeming feature of the night. The service was well below the normal standard, only half of our starter was delivered and we waited 10 minutes for the rest after complaining, then we waited a further 1 and half hours for our mains. However this was not the worst of the night, sadly whilst many in the restaurant and hospitality industry are struggling and trying to make the dining experience safe so they can remain open , that is definitely not the case in this restaurant, the tables were packed together, there were 3 large tables of well over 6, all loud and unruly adults so doubtful they were from 2 or less families, and there was constant table swapping, wandering around and chatting / hugging with no face masks, no attempts to follow even the most basic of covid prevention measures and as for social distancing ....the underground is safer . Frankly it is this lack of concern for the well being of the customers visiting the establishment that is causing the extended issues with transmission, I only hope that the utterly irresponsible team at this restaurant may come to understand that there actions are the reasons we continue to live under restrictions and I am sure the other restaurateurs struggling in the town to deliver a safe environment for visitors will be overjoyed if we have to go back into lockdown as a result of this disregard for the most basic of precautions displayed in Tara Thai, well done you must be truly proud of yourselves.More

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and the food has been lovely. However the takeaway is disgusting. Food is swimming in oil. For the price it is not worth it. I wouldn't even give it one star. Such a shame as this has...not put me off going here once the restaurant reopens. We ordered directly from the restaurant. Delivery driver couldn't even be bothered to find our house number. Made my partner walk 10 minutes down the road to get it. Just lazy!!More

Came here with my girlfriend as we both like thai food and had been recommended here by a friend who also loved it. I was pleasantly surprised when they were able fit me in with little wait on a Saturday night when it was clear...that they were very busy. Thankyou for a lovely night and we will definitely be back again.More

Booked here as love Thai food..... we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio and it had an awful smell to it let alone taste ...... I asked the waiter to come over and he told me to ‘ hang on a minute and carried on...his conversation with the guy behind bar. He eventually came over and I told him about the wine . He took it away and then the guy grim behind the bar came over and said ‘ what’s wrong with the wine then ? ‘ with terrible attitude ...... it was so bad that we didn’t even stay to eat ....... disgusting !!!!!More

Disgusting customer service. I ordered through the app and realised too late that it was for collection. I immediatly called the restaurant to advise i wouldn't be able to collect and they only offered to refund 50% of the order.
