Popular country pub with a good variety of dishes on the menu and a good selection of real ales. We all enjoyed the home cooked food and the staff were really pleasant.

Thank you for your review. We're glad we were able to provide you with Sunday lunch on a Sunday! We're also conscious that our dessert menu can get a bit lean at times, but pleased that you enjoyed the crumble. We'll see you again soon!

Thank you for taking the time to review our pub. It's good to know that the locals are also doing their bit to make you feel welcome - to us that's an important element in the Fish being a pub rather than a restaurant. We...More

We visited this pub last night looking forward to a good meal as per the reviews. Two of us ordered fish and chips - the fish was so small, the batter hard and one was almost burnt on top. We should have returned it but...More

We're sorry if you had a bad experience that you didn't feel you could tell us about at the time, but we've scoured our POS records for the several evenings prior to our review and can't find any transactions which match your description.

We're terribly sorry that you had such a terrible experience in our terrible pub. Indeed, one cannot imagine anything more terrible than getting mash instead of chips. Mea culpa. As the terrible landlord with terrible control over the terrible chefs I hold my hand up....More

We popped in for a quick lunch. The sausage sandwich, on it's arrival looked great with lovely presentation. However, as my partner bit into it, he nearly broke a tooth, as the sausage had been sliced lengthwise before being microwaved to a rock solid lump....More

In the middle of an extremely busy session we can occasionally slip up. At least your partner told us quickly that he was unhappy with his original sandwich - we didn't disagree and we replaced it as quickly as we could without fuss. As you...More
