I've been around for yonks and eaten out all over the country and never had a better piece of fresh fried cod than today at Mrs T's. We usually go to the place next door which is excellent and I thought was impossible to beat....The point is they are both on the harbour which has a few small inshore fishing boats, hence the fresh fish. The chips and mushies were standard, but it's all about the fish. The young man serving us was very welcoming and highly articulate and looked as if he enjoyed the job. Can't recommend it highly enough.More

Bright but cold half term treat whilst on holiday in Suffolk. Had to queue but was totally worth it, lovely think well cooked cod and chips. Pretty views Sat om the benches outside and the atmosphere was great. Everyone was respectful and cleaned up after...themselves too. Cod and chips ( huge portion) 8 pounds, which I think is competitive these days when at the seasideMore

This is the best fish and chips I have ever had. Well worth the walk down to the Harbor. Staff very friendly. The fish is so fresh and succulent. Big portions and great value. It’s to die for. I would strongly recommend this little gem.

I always thought Yorkshire fish n chips could not beaten - well they nearly were today. It really is along time sine I’ve experienced such GREAT f n c’s. Despite COVID the fish had trouble staying in the tray - the batter clean and crispy...and the fish really fresh and tasty. I always find get the fish right and you are just about there however the chips were spot on for accompanying the fish - not the mushy cold miserable offerings these were proud to accompany the fish and what a great job they did to. Washed down with a mug of refreshing tea. Why not as good as Yorkshire- well it wasn’t Yorkshire tea and I’m a Yorkshire lad so there nowt like home!More

Good Covid routine. Asked for two skinless cod, no problem at all. With chips £16. Add your own salt and vinegar and pleased to see large hand sanitiser next to the S&V. Huge fish, double the size of The Little Fish & Chip shop's. Very...hot, crispy flavourful batter, crispy flavourful chips. Really delicious. The first fish we've had in Suffolk with proper flavour. Forget all the others, just come here. 10 out of 10. Downsides? The access road is full of huge craters. The supplied forks are quite small.More

Holidaying in Southwold this week I read the reviews for Mr Ts and was really looking forward to testing the food. Unfortunately the haddock I was given was extremely poor quality and the batter was overcooked and burnt. I ate the meal whilst walking otherwise...I would have returned it and complained. Being born and bred in Grimsby I pride myself in knowing quality or in this case, poor quality fish and I believe it was not fresh fish but frozen. I have even tasted better frozen fish when fresh was not available Overall I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the food purchased and will definitely not return or recommend this establishment.More

This place doesn't do anything fancy but everything is fresh and well cooked. Delicious! Serves veggie friendly chips cooked in rapeseed oil.
