I visited today, with a dear friend, for an after birthday treat here. So cosy with log fires and lovely tables....also comfy sofas if required. Excellent service from staff who obviously really care about their customers. Lots going on with busy pre. Christmas parties but the two of us were made most welcome and the food was excellent. A most... More

First time to Snape Maltings, had lunch in the plough and Sail. Lovely interior with open fires, really snug on a horrible wet day. Friendly efficient staff. We just wanted a light lunch! I had an enormous bowl of really delicious fish soup served with lovely bread. Husband just wanted a sandwich and some fries, sandwich served with salad, and... More

Most importantly, the food was lovely. The Lamb special main course was amazing, every bite, I never wanted it to end... the only downer was that the beautiful dining room on the website was completely closed, we went on a night there was a big 21st birthday party in the main bar area, so we were sat in the pub... Table for 3 in a delightful pub restaurant. Good beer and decent wine list. Food well presented, fillet cooked rare, spot on as I ordered. Nice choice on menu, for me a delight to have fresh oysters which travelled well from Ireland. I am not local which is a shame as I would not hesitate to revisit.

We visited for a family meal - 7 of us. From the start the service was exceptional - nothing was too much . The food was delicious and the venison to die for... Great atmosphere and definitely worth a visit or two or three ! Big thanks to Rosie and Leanne who made our evening extra special by their kindness... More

My Wife and I travelled to Maltings Snape to explore the area. Luckily we stumbled upon the Plough and Sail Pub / Restaurant. The food was beautiful and the prices were very reasonable. If you are anywhere near the area don't hesitate to visit, you will not be disappointed.

We booked to eat here whilst paying a visit to Snape Maltings for Sunday lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was superb. The beef was cooked perfectly, nice roasted potatoes and fresh vegetables with a huge Yorkshire pudding. The desserts were also sublime. We will definitely be visiting again.

Highly recommend this pub - very friendly staff and fantastic food too! Loved the butternut squash soup! A delight in the heart of beautiful Snape and Snape Maltings. Dog friendly too which is an added bonus! Cosy log fires and wood burning stove!!

We were guests for supper, had a wonderful meal with excellent service. Fish is their speciality and there was a very good choice. It has a friendly atmosphere and we will certainly return

We made a mistake of leaving it a bit late for Sunday lunch and most of the pubs we tried were full. Ended up at the Maltings and had a lovely lunch with a pint of freshly squeezed orange juice that was delicious!
