I`ve been going to the George and Dragon regularly now with my wife for about 3 years and I`ve always had the Steak and Ale pie, a particular favourite of mine.. It used to come in a hard pastry shell full and overflowing with bits of steak and gravy with a lovely pastry cap on top of it. However, last... More
Average pub decor a little worn. Friendly staff. All round decent beers. Good food portion to very large. Two for one deals on certain days. Very good value. Other dishes Priced a little high. But food is fresh and hot. Had fish and chips. Fish good. My chips.ok but more like roast potatoes? My wife's were re fried. Awful. A... More
We stopped here on spec, on our way south from Scotland. Smallish pub with separate dining area, and dining at tables in the bar area. I had roast turkey roll, my son had a Panini. Portion size was good, came with salad and French fries. Only minus point from me was that the coffee was not the best and not... More
Three of us had traditional Sunday roast, which was excellent. Between us, we tried beef and pork - both beautifully cooked... maybe Yorkshires a little overdone. Service a bit slow, but it was Easter Day and it was, rightly, packed! Shame they ran out of rhubarb crumble - it looked delicious.
The staff at the pub were very friendly and welcoming and fitted us in at the last minute. I then had the chicken and prawn curry which was lovely and my husband had the fish and... More

Amazing! Big portions, reasonably priced, and extremely tasty, plus friendly staff. We liked it so much we went back again on Tuesday! One of... More
I would like to say it was a pleasure to see that the George & Dragon at Heighington Village is now open for food again after completing the kitchen rewiring, and can say I thoroughly enjoyed the steak night on Friday.
