We recently visited this gem of a cafe on a visit to derrynane beach. The soup was to die for and the sandwiches likewise Congratulations on a job well done and it was a pleasure to meet such courteous staff.Must try the lemon drizzle cake.
Over the last few weeks we have had occassion to bring visitors to Derrynane for a long walk with a halfway stop at Derrynane House for coffee and cakes. On both occassions we had excellent home made foods served with pleasantness for a very reasonable...price. it is a wonderful little oasis in a beautiful location surrounded by history adn Id reccommend it to anyone visiting the area.More
The food here was amazing, having stopped of from a walk on the strand we ordered wraps soup and a slice of pear 🍐 and almond crumble. The queue was very slow and as we had split into two groups in order to hold a...seat this was a bit painful but all that was quickly forgotten when the food arrived and from the first tasting we quickly realised we were in for a real treat. The Tomato soup was bursting with flavour and chunks of tomato and complemented with a beautiful brown bread. Next was the crumble and boy it did not disappoint. I was one of the nicest crumbles I’ve ever had. I cannot wait to go back.More
Beautiful setting, friendly staff, food looks good - but - as on our last visit a few years ago - the cake was not at its best...are the ingredients poor or is it actually stale? False economy in operation by management, in my view...
Found this tea rooms by chance after booking a table at the blind piper, had coffee and a cake to tide us on until the evening meal later on, went back to the tea room again two days later, very friendly and clean, great lattes...and soup.More
