We rang ahead to book but were told it would be ok, was fairly busy when we arrived but were told they couldn’t sit us. We said we could wait but they wouldn’t accommodate that at all. On way out there were empty tables so...we enquired about these but we’re told they didn’t suit our group. Never experienced manners like it. It’s a joke.More

We had the morning on the (beautiful) beach in the sunshine. By lunchtime we all needed something to eat so headed to O’Carrols. It didn’t open to 1300 so we had 15-20 mins to kill before they opened. Lots of people milling around waiting for...the place to open, which is always a good sign. It didn’t disappoint. Really nice place, great seafood, decent wines, lovely pints of Guinness. Great place. 2 mains, 2 kids meals, bottle of wine, pint of Guinness, an OJ and a coke was €114. Could not fault it in any way. Good service, food was prompt. Good portions.More

Where should I start…? 🙂 This place is pure perfection when it comes to Irish hospitality. It is located on the magnificent Ring of Kerry on the beach with spectacular views. Plenty of car park which is very rare for a beach restaurant. Food is...fresh, locally sourced and the ingredients are of the best quality. Fantastically delicious and well seasoned. Service is very quick and efficient. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to see the same faces among the staff members. This does say quite a lot about the management and the working environment. All very positive. Another outstanding factor is the cleanliness which is second to none. It is always great to enter the restaurant or to be seated at the table which is immaculate. They do pay a lot of attention to cleaning the table’s process after each guest. The owners, Catherine and Ray are fantastic and they run a well established restaurant & pub with the highest standards in county Kerry. Well done to all the team. I can only recommend this place. Book in advance as they are very very busy.More

Nice beach but gets way too much hype for what it is. There's better near by. The restaurant there has good grub and friendly staff.

Great location overlooking a gorgeous small cove. We had stopped for drinks one day and decided to return for dinner. Our booking was very courteously fit in last minute and our large party was made feel very welcome. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food and the...service was excellent. Definitely a place to visit if in the Skelligs area.More

I cannot believe the reviews of this place. Drizzles of this and swishes of that trying to disguise what was less than average food. Give this place a wide berth and try the much more authentic Blind Man.

This is an establishment totally geared up to deal with crowds and to serve them quickly and efficiently. It has to be for I know that this bay can get very busy indeed. So, it has to provide good food and service and this is...what it does in spades. If you want gourmet food then you don’t go to a beach restaurant on a tourist route. They do a cracking job here and the food is delicious with a varied choice to suit all. Can’t fault them in this regard. If fault they have, it is a little pricey.More
