To support our local businesses, we ordered a carryout Easter Dinner from the Galena Diner. Placed the order on Friday for specific Pickup time on Saturday. It was supposed to feed a family of 4. We don't eat like birds, and it fed us for...3 nights, as well as 4 other family/friends. Talk about getting our money's worth! Wow! Oh, and the meal was delicious (ham,yummy garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, and brownies) and the hottest temperature of any takeout we've ever had. I love the food! We love to stop on bike rides too! I find the people kind and thoughtful. I appreciate them being open during the coronavirus.

It's good by my preference a bit too creamy and needs more clams. Chesapeake chowdah is less creamy. Compared to Mudflats restaurant in Galena it's less comparable too Chesapeake chowdah. I rank Chesapeake's Fisherman's Pier restaurant one of the best. Then mudflats, though the last...bowl was lesser quality than I remember a year ago, then Galena dinner, then Progresso canned chowdah. The Diner is lower priced than mudflats at $6.49 a bowl. Galena Diner is a regular spot for my boys and I. We have been going for years. Service can be slow at times but the food is always worth the wait!

Friendly atmosphere and style in a cozy diner! Got to try the Grogg style coffee and one of the many breakfast specials for the day. Good to go on weekends.

The only positive thing I have to say about this restaurant is the servers were friendly. It took over 45 minutes to get our meals and they were definitely not worth the wait. The pancakes were over cooked, greasy and had a meaty taste from...the grill. The sandwiches were just ok and the service was very slow. We will not be going back to this restaurant.More
