This is a cozy restaurant in Ohio City that has a small but mighty menu of Ohio raised and Ohio made ingredients. There are several vegetarian and non pork options from which to select a delicious meal. I hear that the pork is delicious. Service was good. A lovely evening was shared by all!

We were greeted by the door and told that our name was on the reservation list but the reservation not made, after a considerable amount of discussion and no communication with us other than we don't have a reservation, we were seated in a dinner room that had lots of tables open. The appetizer we had was a cheese plate,... More

After a wonderful Saturday evening in Downtown Cleveland, we visited The Black Pig on our was back to the west side. Although the service was a little slow, we really didn't want to be rushed so they could turn a table and the great food just kept coming. We started with was brunch for me and the portion was big... Table of 6 last night. On scale of 1-6 with 6 being best, food rates 5. Delicious. Service rates 2. Horrible. Took forever just to get a drink. Then they ran out of three drinks, one of which was mine.

We visit The Black Pig every time we come to Cleveland. It is sort of a tradition at this point as we always stay in Ohio City and that is where we started our first visit. We find the food consistently good. Yesterday, I had the apple pear salad, which was excellent. I followed with pork meatballs and mussels -... More

We were recently in Cleveland for a wedding and wanted to see some of the sites. We went to the Public Market, but not up for the standing and eating scene that was there, so we searched "best restaurant in the area" and The Black Pig came up. They were not wrong. Great music ( Talking Heads radio station) great... More

My wife and I went to The Black Pig for the first time this weekend. It is the latest restaurant to open in the former Parker's location in Ohio City. Our waitress was great, very helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately, the food and wine were just fairly average. The menu was a bit limited other than the obvious emphasis on pork.... More

The best part of this meal was the salad appetizer of mixed greens, apples, and pears. The other appetizer of pork belly was OK, but only OK. My wife's tenderloin of pork came with an interesting mix of grains and beet - my entrée was a pork chop that was cooked beyond edible. A shame - they're probably usually more... More

In short, best food I have had in a long time. Hard to get pricing... so read on. I am always skeptical of places that do not put their prices on their website. Then I read some reviews that say "pricey". Ahhhh - not helpful at all! I went here for a Saturday dinner, set up by friends. Here is... More

Really enjoyed sitting at the bar. Enjoyed some of the small dishes. Duck and foie gras was wonderful. Would have like a little more foie gras to make it perfect. Nice wine and beer menu. Specialty cocktails were very interesting and good. Bourbon barrel aged gin drink was very nice and generous with the alcohol. Bar reminded me of a... More
