Happy dog is one of the best places in the area to get a true feel for the city and its people. The food is inventive but not pretentious. The beer selection is outstanding, both on draft and bottles/cans. Fantastic space at both the Euclid and Detroit locations. Highly recommend a visit for those coming from out of town.

For only $5 you build your own hot dog. Great! Its by no way a fancy place but the staff was very nice and the drinks were a deal in my book even if we were not there for happy hour. We will take friends next time for sure.

I have been hearing about how great Happy Dog is for at least a year so I was really excited to finally try it out today. I was a little disappointed. If you are only going to serve a couple items on your menu they need to be the best. Especially if it is part of your establishments name. The... More

After a concert and another bar, this place was recommended as somewhere we, vegetarian & carnivore alike, could get a quick bite. We thought it was going to be a stand but it's really a bar with live music. So not only did we have amazing hot dogs with the most unique toppings, the vibe was perfect for a late... More

What do you want on your $5 hotdog? Here you can get most anything from chili to peanut butter. Fill out a check sheet menu and have as little or as much as you want. It's an old looking bar with a fun twist on a simple menu item. I highly recommend it.

Look at their menu. You pick from a wide array of stuff. We went for spaghettios and sauce on one and bacon, cheese, and sauce on the other. $5 for a hotdog and another $3 for yummy tater tots. Pick lots of different sauces!!

Not impressed with this place. Staff cold and aloof. No hospitality here. Who really needs ten thousand condiments. Quality was good on dog. Everything else sucked esp.staff. Won't be back ever.

Look, a Dog is $5 whether you want ketchup or the whole menu on top of it, so load it the heck up. Very high quality all beef dogs, awesome homemade toppings like sloppy joe and chorizo chili, and the tots are the best around.

So some might get turned off by a menu that has just Hot Dogs and Tater Tots on the menu-- HOWEVER, if you are in the mood I recommend giving Happy Dog a try. Without rehashing other reviews the deal is this. Grab an order form, check off a hot dog, your dressing and toppings. Next order up some Tater... More

Happy Dog is a hot dog restaurant in Cleveland's Gordon Square. Calling Happy Dog just a hot dog restaurant misses the point. Select your favorite dog then dress it with a wide range of topping and create your own feast (try the homemade sloppy joe and blue cheese coleslaw on a dog with a side of buffalo chicken sauce). A... More

The Happy Dog is a neighborhood corner bar in the best sense of the term. We've got hot dogs and beer, and lots of live music, from rock and country to punk and polka. The bartenders are friendly and the bar itself is open and inviting - a racetrack oval wood bar, with plenty of old chrome barstools.
