This was the first & last time we will use Khandan Indian Restaurant takeaway. The pick up time stated 20 minutes, we arrived on time as we live less than 2 miles away, we were made to wait 10 more minutes. Got into a nice...warm car with the takeaway packaged food, back home & plating up within 5 minutes. Both curries, rice & nan were luke warm at best and had to be reheated in microwave. The samosas were anaemic and the onion bhaji were more gram flour than onion and again a pale yellow undercooked colour. The nan had obviously been sitting around in it's packaging for a while because it was very wet and again luke warm. Then there was no sauce with the curry - the containers were absolutely stuffed full of chicken but where was the sauce? Also I felt the taste was quite bland for a Rogan, I expect a little bit of spice! We'll go back to the Four Pillars now, a few miles further but a far superior experience.More
We tried to order recently as was recommended but they had closed for a while. Ordered a takeaway this evening as we’ve done our village curry house to death. Needed something new. The dishes were good portions and the chicken was so tender. I had...a chilli masala as I like hot dishes, my partner had jalfrezi both had layers of flavour. The rice popadums and naan were all very light not at all stodgy which made it more enjoyable and less filling. Definitely would recommend and will be ordering again. To add lovely pleasant phone service and courteous on time delivery . So glad we tried this place and hope to eat in when they are open again.More
We ordered a takeaway on a Sunday after getting a dish recommendation from fb page, we were not disappointed delicious food, just as described my only criticism would be there was not enough sauce for all the chicken- fast forward to the following Saturday we...ordered again, we had a wait which we expected but when our order came it was incorrect I was gutted had such high expectations, hey ho not much we can do I called to advise them of the mistake we are booked in to eat in a couple of weeks time and I will confirm what happened then, I hope they redeem themselves as it’s for a 21st birthday - feeling optimistic- we have eaten in before and it was lovely xMore
My partner and I thought we'd give this indian restaurant a go after trying many others in the Wellingborough area and surrounding villages. This is the best that's currently on offer which say's quite a lot as our previous visits to Kohinoor in Finedon and Kushboo...in Burton Latimer were also very enjoyable.Starting with poppadoms accompanied with the usual onion salad and dips then our starters of the special house kebab & onion bhaji's which were all extremely good.Chicken Vindaloo was the best i've had anywhere and i've had them all over inc Bradford so that's quite a statement,my partner had the Chicken Korai served sizzling, the keema rice was full of spices & mouth watering, the chapati was so soft & piping hot fresh whilst the Peshwari Naan was the best we've had.Couple of draught pints of Cobra freezing cold & couple of house reds that my partner say's were very nice so all in all the food/drinks were 10/10,Which brings me to the service, well what a joy the two chaps were that served us,we had a laugh especially with the larger chap who informed us his size was down to the Peshwari's and i can certainly agree with that.We went last Sunday evening at 5.30pm and my partner is going again tonight with her girlfriends which i'm quite jealous of but she has promised to bring me a surprise home so happy days, seriously though Khandan in Wollaston is a real gem and 100% worth giving it a go,such great food and service all for £57 inc drinksMore
This is the first time I have been to an Indian Restaurant. I have only eaten Indian food a handful of times so was a little skeptical and unsure what I liked and didn’t like, the Staff were more than happy enough to help me...with suggestions about what would probably be a good dish for me.
All of the staff were really helpful, the service was good and the food was lovely. I would 100% come back and recommend to anybody.More
We often go for meals at the Khandan with friends or family and have always received delicious food with a quick and friendly service.
We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an Indian in the local area whether eating in or taking away.
