I had a burger here with my mum. We loved the food and would definitely come again on our travels to and from Sheffield. Lovely helpful staff and nice traditional pub, just with good food !

The food at The Plough is delicious - we have never been disappointed. The choice of menu is also very good with good traditional choices available. Staff and atmosphere very good, will definitely visit again.

Our pork hock terrine was ok. The belly pork main was very tasty the sauce full of flavour. Our only comment was that... More

Very welcoming on arrival. Nice cosy atmosphere with roaring log fires. Would recommend trying the local ale. Good simple food

We also visited the Plough Inn on Fri 20th Jan. I was unlucky enough to order a steak sandwich, as I choked on a big piece of gristle masquerading as steak. The experience was very scary & humiliating. The other half of the sandwich also contained a piece of steak covered in gristle & was taken away by the waiter.... More

Spent a week over New Year in Hathersage just around the corner from The Plough. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly. A fantastic place to chill out and relax.

Went with friends after a walk, even though one of the party had booked for 25 people there were not enough seats for us all, not a brilliant start. Personally I think the food is overrated, Main menu - where's the veg ! Light meals - the burger was about half size of the bread cake it came out on... More
