Despite the generous portions we left nothing on our plates as the food was delicious, beautifully fresh and wonderfully spiced. The chef's vegetarian recommendation was lovely. It was a quiet night and we received a warm welcome.

We enjoyed a celebratory family meal here and had a lovely experience. The food was excellent with very generous portions. All the dishes were good but the Tom Yam Goong was outstanding! The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the staff attentive and helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

We had the most gorgeous take away from Sa Tang. The food is authentic and good portion sizes. Id say some of the best food in Glossop and I must add that the people are really lovely.

Been here several times and different dishes in the party. Food always tasty , freshly cooked and by a Thai chef, who happens to be the landlady. Good beer no coal fire a cold evening. Lacks a little atmosphere sometimes but if more of you go - it won't!

The freshly cooked food was delicious and just enough for us. The Guinness was great too! Very friendly bar staff and locals. A hidden gem of a place.

We have now eaten here twice when visiting Glossop. The food and service was excellent. Probably no need to book (unless there's a party).

We have become fans of Thai food of late and visiting the mothership in Glossop, she wanted to reacquaint herself of the cuisine. We went to the Royal Oak and were at first disappointed as food is only served from 5pm onwards (it was only 2pm). However, immediately Betty said that this would not be a problem as long as... This is a charming country pub but hiding a Thai restaurant! The pub is very acceptable with a good range of keg and draught ales, lagers, etc. but walk through the double doors into the dining area and a different world awaits. Tastefully adorned with oriental artifacts, the mood is set to enjoy original Thai food personally created by Bhunta,... More

We were staying nearby and popped into the Royal Oak to watch football. There was a delightful aroma of Thai cooking so we decided to come back for dinner. What a wonderful surprise it was in what outwardly appeared to be nothing more than a pleasant local. A huge and comprehensive menu at amazing value prices. We had bean curd... More

Not your a typical Thai restaurant, being based in the Royal Oak Pub, but can not complain at the food. The menu was very diverse, and what we had as a group was perfectly cooked, served hot and with amazing taste. The Sa Tang is a good long walk from the town centre, either a taxi or drive there! Well... More
