Why are the plates consistently dirty at the Wrens nest? Other carvery restaurants seem to be able to provide clean plates. When I asked the staff member carving the meat if he could give me a clean plate he went through the whole pile next...More

This place used to be the best of the Crown Carveries, but probably no longer. Went in at 4 pm. Only two meats on offer not 3 as advertised, gammon and beef. The beef looked dried up and as though it had been there since...More

The usual kind of carvery but probably one of the better ones, the fact that it is always busy is testament to that. The food is always of a good standard, the staff are polite & it’s a place you want to go back to

Firstly, please remember this pub is primarily a CARVERY. Those complaining about other non-carvery meals should perhaps remember this. It's a bit like going to a burger bar then moaning about the salad. Doesn't make sense! It's speciality is Carvery, and where that is concerned,...More

Food is alright for the price. Place is a bit soulless. No real ales. Cheap and cheerful. Staff are friendly enough. Seemed clean enough to me.

Hi EvaJackson123, thanks for the feedback 😊 We did try real ale but unfortunately it wasn't popular enough so we had to remove it, but if there's enough demand for it we may put it back on sale, hope to see you soon - Lianne

Food ok for what it costs. Pleasant enough staff. Window ledges dados full of dust, sticky dirty salt, pepper menus and pots on tables, topped off with lipstick on my glass. Needs a good bottoming.
