As usual brilliant fish and chips unbeatable restaurant value, hot fresh fish and chips and all the extras, peas, tea, bread & butter truly worth a visit. Tremendous value.
we have ewaten iun, and more often had takeaways. Good, above average chips. But an exceptional choice, I like the lighter option fish. Adjacent parking.

Simply the best...?! Despite new pretenders to the F&C Crown - George’s still just the best. King St may beat them on volume, but they are consistently good...
Its still a great Chip shop, always busy and easy to find in Belper, but imho no longer the best in Derbyshire but still very very good, great choices and excellent staff, the parking is a pain.
Every time I've been to this establishment, whether I've chosen to eat in or out the food and service have been excellent. Perhaps it is because the staff are so helpful, the menu is simple and the food is so tasty.
Cold night so called in for Goujons Chips and mushy peas.. restaurant was full so settled for two takeaway meals. Got them home still warm and still excellent quality. Had some scratchings lovely. Will definitely go again.
Myself and my girlfriend visited, it’s very clean and the food is delicious. The staff are really friendly. I would recommend highly.
I ate here recently with my Dad whilst visting and he said that the best place locally for fish and chips was here..He was not wrong and the prices are correct for food served at the table (by the lovely Briony!)!
