Welcoming staff, lovely meal. They were understaffed front of house and were working incredibly hard all night under difficult circumstances - they deserve a bonus! We paid by contactless in a rush and there was no option to tip… we’ll make up for it next...time. Thank youMore

Nice gaff, part of a small chain of gastropubs renamed the Bubble Inn when taken over in July apparently. Very clean, with friendly staff and the specialty Kebabs are excellent. We had a room for one night as we were passing through. The pub only...has 2 apartments which are accessed externally. We had to 2 bedroom apartment complete with sitting area and kitchen. Fantastic value and a great base but something was amiss in the apartment kitchen. There was a smell when we arrived, which had been sealed by the internal door - image a bacon sandwich cooked 3 weeks ago and the smell still lingering. The kitchen is also internal with no external wall so I think there must be something wrong with the extractor. You kind of acknowledged it when you arrived and laughed, our daughter however at 3am was convinced the smell was gas - despite there not being a gas appliance and this made her uncomfortable all night. There is no reception so when we left in the morning there was no-one about to talk to - we just left the keys in the room and got on our way. Actually however I would stay here again, surely its a fixable problem ?More

Excellent. The service was very attentive. Drinks menu extensive and despite the current climate the food menu almost too much choice. As a party of 5 we all struggled to choose. Food quality was superb and portions very generous. I wouldn’t order sides again. !...This easily stands up to other high end local establishments but more relaxed in a positive way. Would be happy to recommend to any with younger children. I wish the team the very best success. It is deserved. My only negative is that despite a lovely interior the exterior belies it. Still looks as tired as it has for years. Landscaping perhaps required to catch passing trade. However we will be dining here again very soon. Spot onMore

A last minute decision to go for Sunday lunch but they fitted us in without a booking. Two adults and two children. We ordered a beef dinner, a pork dinner and two small adult chicken dinners. It was hot and tasty. The girls ate theirs...quickly, my daughter said her beef was so tender and delicious. My pork was plentiful and tasty with a really tasty stuffing ball. Lots of fresh veg and Yorkshire pud. A very tasty Sunday lunch.More

We had a lovely lunch at The Ketch, the Beef Hotpot was so delicious, the best ever, with a very buttery mash. My friend had the lamb and mint pie and chips which were fab too. Friendly Landlord and attentive staff. Well worth a visit....Plus cute dogs. What more could you ask for. We'll be back.More

Stopped here for first time since refurbishment for a bar lunch. We received a very warm welcome, the food and service were excellent, and the meal very reasonably priced. We will return again soon.
