The food here was very nice. I reserved a table but didn't really need to. We had a good selection across the board and very good coffee. The decaf coffee was a bit limp though. They seemed to be spinning their laundry upstairs as it sounded like a helicopter was landing on the roof. Over all the cafe is very... More
We regularly visit this coffee shop when visiting Ashbourne. Staff are so welcoming and always happy to help with any special requirements. They always do a food special and everything we have eaten has been superby cooked and tasty. If you visit Ashbourne you must give it a try. It is situated on the road towards St Oswalds Church in... This is a busy cafe, with food all freshly prepped. My parents go weekly but I hadn't been before. We stopped for a cake and coffee at around 1045 and it was lovely. We did wait. The food is always superbly cooked and presented be it a snack or main meal. I've paid much more and dined out at considerable disappointment at top restaurants whereas Impromptu never lets... More
Had bit of lunch here - soup, paninis, etc. It was really busy when we arrived but they advised that someone was about to leave, so we waited only a few minutes before being seated. Food was delicious, the staff were so friendly and nice and the place had a lovely atmosphere. We all really enjoyed our lunch here and... More
In our party of four only one had an acceptable drink, being an American. Our two lattes were awfully weak and wish-washy, and the hot chocolate too sweet. Friendly little place and well positioned, and the prices were quite low, less than £10 for the four drinks.
