Booked Sunday lunch for 9 of us and we were made to feel very welcome. Sunday menu was excellent with a choice of roast of pies ... the pies are to die for! Two of us popped in later in the week for lunch and their soup was excellent too! Well worth a visit.

Wine bar and cafe with comfy seating inside and a court yard. Our family of three had baked potato, a ploughmans and a burger meal. The wait was longer than ideal due to being busy; however it was worth the wait. Fresh food used and freshly prepared. Menu has a good selection for most tastes, including children. Would recommend and... More

The Ploughman to share makes a good lunch for two. A well presented board with plenty of mature cheese, ham, beef, pork pie, pate, salad, baguette & butter. Waitress could be more friendly though! In this very busy touristy town "The Bridge" is a good choice.

Called in for a few drinks, bar area was very busy but managed to find a table, unfortunately the table had not been cleared and cleaned. Service at the bar was okay and place had a good atmosphere.

In reply to Lesleyannes review of the Bridge. I was on the next table when they 'complained' about their meal. They were very rude to the poor waitress who listened, and was very patient with them. They were offered a refund but it still wasn't good enough for them...even though they managed to eat more of their meal once the... More

This is the second year we have booked a business event for a VERY BUSY period in February (Shrovetide). Everyone at The Bridge was accommodating and welcoming... we had some last minute adjustments (inc. vegan meal options) and nothing was too much hassle. Food and drink great - will be back again next year (if they'll have us!!)

We booked here with the view of trying out the menu, to book up for a large family group, the night before my daughter's wedding. The service was slow, but friendly. The restaurant was dingy. I ordered one of their award winning pies, was disappointed with it. The crust was slightly burnt and very crispy. There was not a lot... More

Extremely rude staff and slow service. The place needed a good clean too; dirty glasses, the vinegar had leaked in the container with all the napkins, and everything felt grubby. We ordered the mini burger sharing platter, which was ok, but it simply comprised of a normal burger cut into three and put in mini buns (which were quite hard),... More
