We rang before the tearooms opened to check that they would be open and then struggled through 4.5 miles of drifting snow to get there...on foot. The fire and the coffee were worth it!

I had the Coronation Chicken Baked Potato and it was delicious and freshly cooked. To follow I had Victoria sponge which also was very tasty. It was busy, but service was good and quick in the circumstances. I will go again.

Lovely tea/ gallery; warm host, good food on a beautiful winters day. The old school room adds charm to the meal.

Really nice place. Perfect for tea and scones on a cold winter's day! Highly recommended. Uldale is a nice spot, off the beaten track and perfect for the lonely hills of the Northern Lake District. Highly recommended.

With its high ceiling and large windows, this tea room and gallery still looks like the Victorian school building it originally was. Although I'd not been there before, most of my companions had, and they recommended the scones with our afternoon tea. Mine was still...More
