Good pub food, warm and friendly staff. Nice fire going on a Thursday afternoon, sometimes Yorkshire pubs have been chilly mid week, but not this one. As well as bar food, there is a really nice section to get takeaway coffee, soup and cakes. We...More

The welcome was very friendly from both staff and customers and immediately felt comfortable. Ales were in excellent condition though a dark one would have been nice. The food was great and Landlady 's Pastry on steak pie was incredible. Great little pub 😊

Home cooked English pub meals. One of very few where you can have proper sit down and warm & tasty meal. There are lots of comfortable chairs to choose from, too.
