We stopped off for a pint and a packet of crisps after being blown about on the top of Blencathra, this then extended to a bowl of chips each, really well cooked and really appreciated. Good atmosphere in here, welcoming, clean and cosy window sests

We called in for a late lunch after a walk. My husband had the Cumberland sausage and I ordered the steak and ale pie. Both were delicious and the service was friendly and efficient. Really enjoyable meal.

Depends on how sociable you are people very friendly down to earth pub good food If you like walking we felt people very helpful .

The White Horse Inn and Bunkhouse is a cosy Inn located at the foot of Blencathra a few miles outside Keswick near Threlkeld. Real fires, fantastic local ale, British pub food and a warm welcome. We are also dog friendly.
