Day on the hills. Friendly barman, cracking pint. Not visible from the A66, but certainly worth the 50 yard detour (only) if travelling between Penrith and Keswick. Food board looked good too.

We called in for tea and had a lovely meal. The steak pie was amazing as was the Gammon dish. Nice cosy little pub with lovely views. Would definitely recommend.

Depends on how sociable you are people very friendly down to earth pub good food If you like walking we felt people very helpful .
