I visited captain Nelson on Friday for my evening meal I went with my sister and the service and food was really excellent. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends.

Staff are lovely and accommodating. Food is homemade and very good. Only went in as it’s near the aquarium but we are glad we did as it was great

Always a warm welcome and dog friendly. The Cajun chicken burger was excellent the enormous fish and chips exceptional and the sausage formidable. Even the scampi is in a different league not a problem swapping dishes around nothing is 2 much trouble for the staff...More

Went here on Sunday, had fish and chips, the fish was the size of a whale!!!!! The food was as tasty as it looked. Excellent service, will be going again, the Sunday lunch looked lovely, that's on our menu for next time we visit Maryport.

On our way to Allonby called in here first for lunch,a great decision.Had the fish and chips absolutely delicious the batter was fantastic and the fish massive.my wife had prawns with jacket again delicious all this and a great welcome from Chris and his staff.

Hi, yes they are dog friendly. My sister took her dog when we had a meal there and they gave him his own bowl of water.

Captain Nelsons is a fine place to Eat Quality Fish and Chips, i am certainly looking forward to eating there again, i was catered for very well with a very serious dairy and egg allergy, nothing was too much trouble... More
