We stopped off, having just been up Scafell Pike and a few other tops, on our way home. It was late afternoon and the fryer went on for some more than welcome chips, with a couple of pints. Thank you!

Arrived near by on the Saturday for a stay looked up the black lion great reviews so we tried it on the Sunday. The roast was delicious, staff were welcoming and the service excellent. We would definitely eat here again when in this area.
