Big portions of traditional pub food - perfect after a long day of hiking in the Lake District. I had the lamb shoulder and it fell off the bone.

The chips are awesome, better than any seaside chips I've ever had. Lovely staff, very accommodating with items chopping, changing and adding too.
Ate here food was excellent... we told them we were vegan, and they went out there way to make us some yummy food!!! Very nice place with open fire... pool table/ darts... beer garden... ALL the staff were nice and friendly... Were very accommodating even...More
Had lunch twice while we were on our second honey moon walking the lakes. Lovely food and service. Log burning fire was a lovely, welcoming sight and atmosphere after a hard walk along the Esk Trail.
