The food was amazing! The staff where terrible it took forever for us to be offered a drink and even then we had to ask a member of staff who didn't want to help! The food took ages to be served! It took about an hour after the starter before the mains came, we weren't offered puddings! The lady serving... More

We visited here as a family of 4 on a Sunday afternoon. I called and booked a reservation for 2.30pm. We arrived just before the time our table was booked for and went over to the bar to advise we had a booking. We were promptly ignored by 2 members of staff and after waiting for over 5 minutes I... We stopped here for a roast dinner early on Sunday evening. The food was excellent and the portions were generous. The Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes were obiously freshly made - no corners cut here - and all the vegetables were cooked just right, which is unusual for a busy pub on a Sunday. Definitely recommended.

We went here for a few drinks and food. It was very busy - I'd suggest you book. We ordered beers while we waited for a table. The menu had loads of choice and everything looked really good. We had burgers... they were sop good. I had the Mexican one, it was spicy and massive and the chips were also... More

Went to the Crown one Tuesday evening , it was about half full we asked for a table for two, and told to sit anywhere that had been set for dinner. We ordered the haddock and chips, and the short rib of beef both were excellent. The service was good, as was the beer. It's a couple of pounds dearer... More

Visited with family for Sunday lunch. We had been a few years earlier and it had been average. However today we were presently surprised. The layout and decor don't do the superb food justice. They should be trumpets playing as the plates arrive. The Roast dinner is fab. Nothing fancy. You don't have to eat of a plank of wood... More

Really nice restaurant, gorgeous food. I ordered the ribeye steak and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The entertainment was excellent too, a man and woman playing various guitars and singing, offering open Mic night. Extremely talented act. Staff were lovely, polite and professional.
