I have been visiting this place for quite a few years now and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food. It has upstairs a room where the local hunt used to meet and you can see the paintings and history if you ask to see the room, a member of staff will acompany you but will not... More

We went to the Swan for dinner and enjoyed ourselves so much we went back for lunch the next day. A delightful building with 3/4 cosy areas to eat plus the dining room and lovely chatty, friendly staff. We sat with a (generous) glass of wine on a comfy sofa before our meal and were very pleasantly surprised to be... More

Good, hearty pub grub with a wide choice of dishes. It all tasted fresh and potions are a manageable size. The spicy beef salad was delicious, as were the pili prawns that I had for starter. The service though did let the food down. The restaurant was not overly busy but tables were left waiting.

Six of us dined on a Saturday evening and were disapppointed overall. The poached egg with the Asparagus ( chosen by two of us) was verging on the hard boiled. Can't believe they can't poach an egg. Prawns Pil Pil were poor value at £8.95 for a few miserable prawns which had been seared under a hot grill and almost... More

Warm, welcoming ambiance and super food, enhanced by some very congenial and obliging service - and all to be enjoyed in a traditional coaching inn setting. A well deserved five stars.

What a great treat we had today, we had our first lunch at the Swan and it was superb. Starters, Chicken Pate', scotch egg, and cheese garlic bread, all great especially the huge scotch egg with a lovely runny yolk. Mains fish and chips large and perfectly cooked, delicious steak and ale pie which was huge with light flaky. pastry... More

My husband, I and two friends recently stopped for breakfast at The Swan and it was delicious and fresh and plentiful too. Will certainly be calling in again.

Been a few times now & there is always a comfortable pleasant atmosphere at The Swan. Sunday carvery is always spot on - they know how to do it well. A good community venue. Dogs welcome in certain areas. We've not used them but there are a few rooms available as well.

I chose to order from the bar menu however on my next visit I will definitely order of the main restaurant menu. My meal was great though.
