Had food here many a time over the years and its been great. Havent been for 12 months so, hoping the food will be just as good as it was ! Atmosphere superb and staff lovely. A real quirky place on the high street and nice clientele

My wife and I had a meal here last night. Although we had to sit down at 6 and vacate at 8 because they were exceptionally busy, it was still one of the best, most romantic and most lovely dining experiences ever. Admittedly, the time of year helped as it was the Tarporley Christmas lights switch on, so the village... More

Booked here based on trip advisor reviews and its locality to the Macdonalds Portal Hotel where we were staying. The staff were brilliant and even though the restaurant was full we did not have to wait very long for drinks or food. The atmosphere and food were excellent . The only small issue was when groups came in later for... More

We visited ion Saturday evening and requested a seat upstairs. One member of our party had an allergy and this was dealt with quickly and with minimal fuss. the menu was laid out well and the staff were superb. The food and wine were fantastic and we highly recommend to anyone to visit. Worth travelling for.

I've been here for dinner and lunch, sometimes wandering in after a muddy walk but always given a warm welcome. Piste does first class food, decent beer and great service in an atmosphere of friendliness and calm.

We arrived at piste for a late Sunday lunch (2.30pm) and got shown straight to our table upstairs. Our drinks order was taken straight away and we ordered food soon after (booked travelzoo deal for sunday lunch, but ordered starters separately). We indicated straight away that we had a travelzoo voucher and the lady came and took it off is.... More

Cheshire village Tarporley, although not well known for ski slopes, is home to Piste Wine Bar and Restaurant. Owners James Hughes and his brother-in-law Paul Bebe explain that the name started off as a joke but soon seemed, with its cosy ski chalet associations, to represent the rustic friendly feel they had in mind for the restaurant. The pair pride themselves on modern European cuisine using only the best ingredients; the beef is sourced from Aberdeenshire, the lamb from the Welsh Valleys and the pork is all from Lincolnshire. The fish is delivered daily from the Cornish coast, and many of the other ingredients are sourced from within Cheshire. With its open fireplace and hunting trophies, Piste is decorated in a style that could be described as homey. The menu, too, features classic, tasty fare like slow roasted meats and fish and chips, and more adventurous palates will enjoy dishes like the Thai style crab cakes.
