As a special treat I took my family to Cliveden for Sunday Lunch, however we were disappointed with the food as well as the service. The waitress was ignoring us for a long time after we sat down and then served other tables first that...More

Visited last Friday for a family 90th birthday - live locally and regular National Trust visitor but first time inside the 'big house'. It lived up to the expectation and the whole meal was memorable. OK it was expensive but that was expected and it...More

This review is for the set "market" lunch menu which comes to £70 for 2 for 2 courses with a bottle of water and service charge. The location is superb - with grand old country house and National Trust gardens. The restaurant overlooks the formal...More

Always a beautiful gourmet lunch, even though the market menu. Flavours and presentation perfect. Arrive at least half an hour early so you can drink in the inspiring almost decadent hall and savour the pre lunch nibbles. Flower arrangements in the dining room inspired and...More

We had the tasting menu here recently. Firstly the setting is very grand with nice views of the garden. However some of the tables are a bit too close together. Generally the tasting menu courses were good and it was a well balanced menu. The...More

This is our special place to have lunch and dinner, but since my last visit it seems to have lost some of its charm and grace. It is becoming just another restaurant. On arrival we used to be greeted and our car parked, our coats...More

Three of us had Chateaubriand, which on this day wasn't served as a two person dish as it usually is. It was really superb. Whatever you choose though I'm sure will be really delicious. Regards Margaret

The André Garrett Dining Room was originally the Drawing Room of the house and is a stunning south-facing spacious room which radiates with sunlight and looks out over the nineteenth-century Parterre, the gardens and River Thames. Its classical elegance and fine works of art give it an enviable touch of romance, and bring the history for which Cliveden is famous to life. Lunch and dinner are served here, offering classic English dishes combined with Cliveden's extensive cellar book. At lunchtimes, chose from the Market menu which offers tremendous value or from the more extensive a la carte selection. At dinner, enjoy award-winning modern classic English cuisine with dishes brimming with fresh seasonal ingredients and local produce. Please note, jeans or sportswear are not permitted at any time. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket for dinner.
