A steady brunch customer two or three times a year for seventeen years. When you go, pay attention to the cook and the two young (usually one at a time) food servers as well as Chuey - the owner and primary food server. You will...be impressed.
I've been in and out enough that I'll call all four of them friends.More
We went to David's for breakfast and had a good breakfast. The service was prompt and we did not wait too long for our food. Prices were reasonable. There was construction next door, but that should be temporary.
A long-term resident recently reminded me that David's was the only place in town for fresh, brewed coffee for years. Fortunately, there are other places with good, non-instant coffee, which used to be a rarity in Mexico. Good standard Mexican and American food with decent...service at decent prices. Check out their patio in the rear, to get away from the street dust and fumes.More
I was searching for English Muffins all over Ajijic, and then I saw David's has Bennies! I got a combo spinach and ham bennie with real hollandaise, not packaged... eggs okay, yolks were firmer than i like but still good. This place has many regulars...so you know it is good! Hubby had chorizo and eggs.... it is Spanish chorizo, a bit different from what So. Cal. places use, which is more wet and less red, but he liked it just fine... Great starter restaurant for new griingos...More
