Excellent restaurant. I’m not big on seafood but I LOVED it. Service was wonderful, food very tasty and fresh. We will definitely come back.

A very unassuming restaurant with a bar and outdoor seating. But, don’t let that fool you. The food is great. The menu is mostly Spanish so it was an adventure in ordering, and to our surprise everything was delicious and different than we’ve had before....You can’t go wrong here. I had a tuna taco that was as good as the best sushi I have had before. The ceviche was fantastic, and don’t leave without having a fish burrito, and agua fresca. You won’t be disappointed.More

I found this place by googling, otherwise we would never have found it as it is tucked away in a side street. It is in a nice little garden area, great food and just lovely waitstaff. Good prices as well. Don't miss this place for...your more casual but great food experienceMore

A gem, best seafood I’ve had Lakeside, all very fresh and prepared to perfection. Our waitress Vanessa was super, attentive and fun. The owner came to our table to make sure everything was satisfactory. Outside seating in a relaxing atmosphere. Can’t wait to return.

This is a sweet little outdoor restaurant with a great owner and wonderful staff. The menu focuses on seafood, but there are vegetarian options as well. My favorite dishes were the fried avocado and the seared tuna tacos. They were served with a condiment tray...of fresh salsa, marinated onions and slaw, as well as several different bottled and homemade salsas. Service is great and very welcoming. Prices are very reasonable.More

We had a delightful meal. Very good ceviche, I had a shrimp burger, and my brother had the banana pepper stuffed with marlin. Both were excellent! give them a try.

A wonderful selection of seafood. The arrachera de atun is perfectly seared and the tuna sashimi is from the freshest tuna you can find. The marlin taco is a treat to the taste buds. A neat selection of condiments compliments each meal. The menu is...constantly expanding with new and creative dishes. And the proce is right!More

We have eaten here 3 times in the past 5 weeks. Wonderful straightforward clean food...no heavy sauces, unnecessary carbs. Good tight small plates. Some dishes are Asian/Mexican fusion. Have had many of their tuna items....ceviche, tostadas, tacos....one great bite after another. They have some battered...and fried items (don't miss the deep fried avocado). Oh...their dessert of Limon Charlotte is wonderful. Fair prices, innovative platings. Excellent service. The garden seating is not cramped, sturdy tables, good chairs. We passed this place by for several months, not sure what it was.....now we are regulars. Open most days, 12-6.More

Just discovered this place and cannot get enough of their wonderful seafood dishes. The setting is charming and Claudia is very helpful and honest in helping you make your selection. While there are many restaurants in Ajijic, I strongly encourage you to include this place...on your must visit list. In checking the other reviews, you can see we all agree that Lobo de Mar is highly recommended.More

The place itself has a very natural vibe as the tables are located outdoors in a front patio with a lot plants. The main deal you can find here is fish and seafood tacos and related meals (they serve some fried avocado tacos that are...delicious if you’re a vegetarian). All the food tastes fresh and even though the dishes are not super complicated they make sure to have them taste right how they’re supposed to. The have some tasty dressings and their unsweetened ice tea is homemade. I’d definitely go back.More
