I would rate 0 starts if I could… I tried to have dinner here and I brought my psychiatric service dog with me. They asked me if I had documents and I showed them the letter by my doctor as well as other certified documents...and still, the owner said he wasn’t going to allow my dog, which by the way, is only 8lbs and came in a leash and vest. I have gone to WAY better restaurants and never had an issue. I felt discriminated due to my condition.More

On the recommendation of a young guy at my B&B, I toddled down the cobblestones to this quiet enclave of food and service excellence. I was greeted with warmth - and all the current health and safety protocols - and seated in the middle of...a lightly-patroned dining room, where I could see both the bar and kitchen. It was clear from the start that Tango is a well-oiled operation, with the staff requiring no redirection from the owner, who was on hand throughout. The beverage offering and delivery, the warm bread, the wine corkage, the plating... ALL spot-on. The spinach salad, with pears, blue cheese crumbles and balsamic drizzle was the perfect complement to a 9-ounce filet mignon that was nicely-seasoned and perfectly-grilled medium rare. This may just have been the best non-Mexican meal I've had in my five weeks here!More

Tango is on our regular list of favorites, but our visit this week was not good. In the whole restaurant there were only 3 tables left unoccupied. A couple was seated at a table near us and the lady was seating a about 15” away...from the table making her chair a bit closer to ours. I questioned our waitress about how close these people were and she said” that’s where they wanted to sit.” We have been to this restaurant at least 4 times during the restrictions due to COVID and at first we saw how careful they were sanitizing the tables chairs and everything on the table. This last visit we were there 2 hrs and tables turned over to new diners and I didn’t see the same precautions with sanitation, in fact any. In contrast to that we were at a nice restaurant in Guadalajara yesterday and every other table was not being used and as people left the table and chairs were sanitized. Even in the patio area outside every other table was empty. On my dinner at Tango.. I had the flank steak salad and it was not a good choice. Unremarkable! The flank steak slices had no flavor.. no seasoning perhaps? Th sprouts were very bitter... not fresh I suspect. Usually our dinning is experience at Tango is just fine, but their lax attitude with regard to sanitation did not sit well with me.More

Quality of food has declined, service 2 stars. We will not be back, it was a waste of gasoline from Guadalajara

We had to wait about 45 minutes for a table. Fortunately, they will text you when a table is available. The service is fine. A little fussy - every minute someone would come by to take a used plate. The asparagus was great. The lamb...chops inedible. They did remove the price of the lamb chops from the bill. Also - minor point - the music was all covers, poorly done. Anyway, we won't return.More

I won't go there again! The salmon was terrible and I should have ordered a meat dish instead. I also should have returned it. Overcooked and tasted -?Sweet??

I live in Ajijic. There are many excellent seafood and beef dishes. Appetisers are large for a meal. Nice economical lunch options. They do not take reservations and you almost always have to stay in line. Service is good.

Use to be a great Tempora restaurant, now more of a contemporary menu. In the middle of AJIJIC which makes it a great place for visors. Good service.

Very good steak at reasonable prices. Service was very good. Easy walk from our hotel. This is a casual but consistently good restaurant. Loved the filet mignon. Third time was just as good.

Shhhhh don’t tell anyone about this place. We want it all to ourselves. No kidding everything we had was wonderful and with a party of 12 we tried just about everything. Nice salads, appetizers were spot on and the BEEF oh yes the BEEF excellent....Tempting as it may be, don’t fill up on the little rolls. Also save room for desert and your bar tab will not break the bank. OK I guess you can go, but don’t tell anyone else.More
