Staff were great and friendly. Atmosphere was very welcoming, with live music throughout our lunch there. Had out of town guests from Asia who thought it was a great Canadian experience.

Visited this lovely destination when our family was visiting from out of the country. Although we live locally, we never really went here because it costs litterally a few dollars more than the competition. Before going there, we had been disinfranchised to the sugar shack experience as they'd become so commercial that they had lost all of the charm of... More

Despite a rainy morning we were treated to an animated and hilarious tour and history of the making of maple syrup by this generational family business. Then to breakfast in the large dining area. Entertainment by Paul on the guitar, wooden spoons and accordian. Mirth, frivolity and fun. Topped off with great fresh food, eggs, bacon, beans, pie, sausages, toast... More

Having been to a 'real' sugar shack several years ago, we were anticipating this visit - one of the scheduled events' dinners for our bus tour group. Off the beaten track in lovely, remote, woods, we were met by a horse-drawn wagon. A knowledgeable host described the labor-intensive process for extracting and processing maple syrup - using equipment that is... More

My family and I had a most wonderful lunch here a few days ago - a platter of maple bacon, maple beans, fresh bread - all with a large jar of maple syrup (which I tried not to let the kids take too much advantage of!). Dessert was pancakes and a lush maple tart! All washed down with maple beer!... More

What a truly fantastic visit to the ...' sugar Shack' ...entertainment and lunch plus a great visit and look around the buildings and history of the Maple Syrup. Our guide was funny, informative and.....obviously the REAL Santa Claus. Our grandkids believe it at any rate.

Great decor. Great owners. Food is average. The bread place is really cool. Price is high!! Worth to go there once to see.

My boyfriend and I recently had dinner and breakfast with them and stayed in one of the cabins. The cabin was cozy, beautiful, and everything we expected. There seemed to be some nice trails and horseback riding in the area, though we did not have the time to check them out. The food was varied and interesting - very meat... More

If you are looking for a different kind of way to spend a night, you must check this place out. It was my first experience with a sugar shack or what might be labeled an "old-fashioned Quebec meal". I enjoyed the dinner with live music and a unique opportunity to hear Pierre's vision for the business. Staying in the log... More
