Traditional pub food in a really friendly atmosphere. A great place to go for a bite and a beer with friends.

The staff were friendly and we were quickly seated. Service was good. Soup was homemade and there was a generous portion. Meat pie with chips was OK. For a quick lunch before the theatre, it was just fine. Would we rush back? Probably not. Lots of other places to try in the area.

The place is due for a cleaning and facelift. The food is always good and the beer is Fresh! I don't have any more words to fill the spaces, sorry!

Out of town friends wanted to go here because of proximity to Capitol Theatre despite my suggestion we go elsewhere. Food was cold and bland, restaurant & washrooms are very dirty and the stairs to the back parking lot/theatre are a safety hazard. No one in the group wants to return here.

Visited here with a group of friends, first time being there. Staff were excellent. The whole place needs a good cleaning, and more frequent cleaning. Had a Beamish burger and fries. Burger was good fries were way undercooked. I would go back but maybe just for drinks next time.

We drop in here from time to time for a drink but I would hesitate to order food here as the place is really dirty! From the floors to the bathrooms, it all needs a good wash! The tartan tablecloths are very cute though.

Despite a large number of us descending on the place - the restaurant had forgotten a 20 minute long distance call to make reservations (we have the phone bill to prove the conversation occurred) - we were able to get served quite admirably by the wait staff who went way above our expectations to accommodate us. Kudos to the wait... More

The onion rings were great; the homemade chicken alfredo, full of chicken strips and roasted red peppers was good and the homemade steak and mushroom pie was tasty;this is not a high end fine dining restaurant and the menu is not that extensive but you will be satisfyingly full when you leave. We pared a Pino Grigio with our meal... More

Went with a group of 8, with reservation. We were seated quickly. The atmosphere is, as others note, like a British pub. Our waitress was excellent and I thought the seafood Alfred was a bargain, and one of the best I've bad.
