Most everything here is homemade from the soup to the muffins. Food is presented very nicely. Staff is very attentive and accommodating.

When I was in Bloomfield for a weekend I went to Saylor House Cafe for a couple of breakfasts. I had tea and a nice warm scone on one day (best scones ever!) and their french toast the next morning. Both meals were very enjoyable. Loved the whole atmosphere and how friendly all the staff were. I wouldn't hesitate to... More

Quality little breakfast and lunch spot. Very pretty with all sorts of sandwiches, including gluten free ones. I also think they offer almost every kind of tea imagineable. Pretty old teacups decorated the property and the interior of the restaurant. Don't miss it.

Bloomfield is a charming village but after touring the Main Street on a summer day it is a welcome relief to have a cool drink and a light meal in the shady garden of the Saylor House. The entrance is down a driveway, so persevere and you won't be disappointed.

Our visit to Bloomfield on a cold February day was highlighted by the delicious soups served at The Saylor Cafe. The sweet potato red lentil purée was divine remarked my friend! I enjoyed the Curried coconut with black bean and quinoa soup which was very flavourful and filling. We shared a BAT sandwich made on fresh whole wheat bread. Our... More

This was our second visit to Saylor House Cafe and was as successful as the first. It was a cold day so decided that soup would be a good idea to help us warm up. The soup was simply amazing - sadly I forget what they called it, but it was really good! The scone with clotted cream and jam... More

The food was good and the server was pleasant but there wasn't any professionalism. The Manager/Owner did not represent her establishment very well as she was very loud and seemed to be in a frenzy. She obviously does not present an image that should be mirrored by her staff as her running around and loud voice did not provide the... More

Great little spot with a charming ambience and lovely staff. Nice home-made meals. In summer, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea and their baked goods in the garden.

I booked a night at Saylor House October 2015, and the owner called a day later to say there had been a mistake and the room was double booked. She cancelled our reservation and offered to call another B&B in town but it was not suitable. Pretty sure we were 'bumped'. Decided to try again this year, saw that the room... More
