This restaurant is in a bigger store that has a bakery, and Christmas store and knickknack store. Great for tourists. The restaurant part is you order and then find a seat after picking up your food. Nice place to visit.

Heading to Lunenburg, NS from Baddeck, NS, we stopped at the Farmers Daughter for a quick breakfast. We had breakfast bagels and picked up some yummy oat cakes. The coffee was really good too. Friendly service and a neat little gift shop attached.

We purchased our dinner here to take to our rental house in Neil's Harbour, as we were driving North on the Cabot Trail. We bought frozen seafood chowder and fresh pizza rolls, mine was spinach and feta, and hubby's was sausage, chipotle, bar-b-q sauce. The seafood chowder we enjoyed and it had a nice flavor. We couldn't tell how much... More

Cranberry with white chocolate pieces. These cookies are huge and very tasty. I so wish we had tried one on our trip and not waited till we arrived back home; would have bought more. Lovely spot to stop and stretch your legs, wander around and see all they have to offer. Quite a large store selling everything from cookies to... More

It was a Pleasant place to stop over as we drove from Antigonish..! A coffee with the cookies was excellent...! We were so touched to see real farm fresh produce and how this store continues to connects with farmers around. Really good place to sit and have a chat or just watch the traffic on highway.

We stop in every time we are in Cape Breton, very good food. Easy to find, friendly staff.. Parking can sometimes be a chore but this is because so many people stop in.

We are disappointed you had this experience as well. We are currently understaffed and although we have amazing staff - sometimes things happen that shouldn't. If you are by again please stop in, I'd love to apologize in person. We also will be fully staffed in the next few days so everyone will back to 100%. Sandee More

Recently on our epic family tour of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Quebec we stumbled onto the Farmers Daughter. What an oasis for some real food! We picked up fresh fruit, great muffins, heirloom carrots and other healthy snacks for the road and enjoyed all the way back to Ontario! If you are looking for a healthy alternative, give the... If you are looking for a quick lunch, or an ice cream, or lovely baked goods or that special gift for someone at home, this stop is a must. Great coffee selection.
