Went there for lunch. What a great ambience. The Americano coffee was excellent and the waiter brought a chilled bottle of water to the table. The chili was beautifully made, delicately seaoned with a dab of sour cream on top and the biscuit sandwiches were...More

I stopped by because I heard they sometimes offer vegan options for baked goods. They offered a raspberry bliss ball, but another employer also pointed out their carmelita bars were also vegan because they were made with cooconut milk. It was a little too sweet...More

I was here for breakfast and had a biscuit with berry jam... and it was heavenly! It was big enough that I could barely finish it, but I did because it tasted so good.

Luscious home made biscuits are a foundation menu item, just as you'd expect. Perfect place for soup and lunch with nice desserts. My son liked his citrus cream pie so much he said he never wanted it to end.

Wow, Stopped for a coffee and a cookie and were not disappointed. A s'mores cookie that was unbelievably good and a great cup of coffee. Cannot go to Mahone Bay without making this a stop every time!!! And a great sign.

New owners are doing a great job! Nice and simple menu, but super yummy. Normally you order at the counter and then go sit down, but since I was on crutches they came to the table.

Hi - We just saw your question on Trip Advisor. Yes, all of our sandwich specials can be made with gluten free bread, and we have various other gluten free options as well. We're open all year round. Thanks!

The Biscuit Eater is a friendly community cafe and bookstore serving homemade, handmade goodness in Mahone Bay's oldest building. Fresh baked buttermilk biscuits, locally roasted coffee, stacks of cookies and baked treats, delicious soups, sandwiches and daily specials are all made with care daily by new owners Jessika and Chris and our talented chef Laurie Zwicker. Take a seat by the hearth in a cozy chair, have lunch in the library, grab a snack to go, or visit with old and new friends in the common room - here the warmth of community is alive, well, and waiting to welcome you. We are accessible, family friendly, inclusive and open to all our neighbours from our oldest customer (98!) to biscuit babies. Our new winter hours are Monday - Saturday from 9-4, keep your eye on our Facebook page for evening events, markets, and workshops. We are also available to host your special events, weddings, and creative retreats, contact us with your ideas and collaborations!
