Excellent wine list to accompany the fantastic food. Probably the finest dining choice in the area. If you are staying at the inn, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Our experience from the time we walked in the door was excellent. We had walked out of Pepperlane B and B as the owner was so rude and what a refreshing experience. We also had dinner here and the service and food were excellent

During our vacation in Nova Scotia, we found it hard to find a good restaurant that didn't look like a snack bar or a family restaurant. One night, we had dinner at the Des Barres Manor Inn and were not disappointed at all. The plates were well presented, the fish was delicious, the list of wines was appropriate and the... More

An upscale inn where dinner is served. Our room was large and all what you would expect for the price. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was quite ordinary (scrambled eggs) from what one might expect from the surroundings but overall a fine establishment......

Exceptional quality of dinners - either from the menu or a culinary package. All local produce (even the wines) expertly prepared by Annie and delivered by the bubbly Bonnie . If you are staying at the Inn..there is no reason to go anywhere else . We've stayed and eaten here four times before - and the quality is consistent .

Room was very nice and quiet. Dinners were a little high in price but food was excellent. Super comfortable mattresses. The bathroom tubs are very high to get in and out of, so not great if traveling with seniors or kids. Very pretty inn and nice location.

Loved the Des Barres Manor Inn great room, great food, attentive staff.. The room we had was the best room we have been in for a very long time - spacious with comfortable bed and chairs. The only thing missing was some coffee or tea makings in the room. I am a very early riser and had to sit in... More

We stayed at DesBarres Manor Inn and were lucky to decide also to dine there. The meal was excellent, the choice good and the service very friendly. We have spent a perfect evening in a beautiful setting that reminds us to former times.

This is one of the best restaurants in the Eastern Shore area. We had scallops, salmon. And pork tenderloin. The salads and soups were divine. This is a small kitchen with a limited menus . They usually have a choice of three or four main entrees . The food is excellent and reasonably priced . The service was friendly and... More

The food was absolutely amazing and being in such as historic home was lovely as well. I believe the home originally belonged to the local judge. Perfect service in a perfect town! The house is furnished with some gorgeous antiques and it's worth wondering around. While you're in town, check out the Rare Bird pub and try the Spruce Ale... More
