This place was ok with basic food and not too expensive. I found most of the food heavy on the butter and greasy. I would not go back Note- we were here august of 2015

Perfect combination. Eat a delicious and filling meal then walk it off in a delightful shop that has everything Cape Breton. Service was fast and friendly. Meal was piping hot and incredible. Definitely a stop on my next visit!!

At a main crossroads. A natural place to stop, shop, get an ice cream or play mini putt. Not far from Whycocomagh or Baddeck. A Cape Breton staple which has been around many years now. Always a welcome sight to see The Red Barn when you turn the corner from the west or crest the hill from the east.

This restaurant offers all that a tourist would want on their way around Cape Breton. The service is great and the food is great. It is a little pricey but it's worth it. Nice surroundings.

We had lunch here. Had mussels as a starter and they came on a huge plate. fresh and delicious - the best I've ever had. We all had the lobster roll as a main and it was a croissant with a good quantity of lobster meat. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. The restaurant is at the back of the... More

Great simple food at supper, At breakfast next morning I ordered a scrambled egg with cheese on top on a croissant. This was no croissant. To add insult to injury it was stale and dry. I had visions of a delicious breakfast. it was not.

This was a cozy cafe with a great menu; lots of variety to choose from including local seafood. The service was quick & friendly. After dinner we enjoyed browsing the large gift shop which included local arts & crafts.
