Our second visit, this time with our NL/CBS friends while trial riding on their Quads. The fish and chips were delicious. Last year when we visited friends in Pasadena and Monkstown NL, we eat our way across the Province and Station Diner has some of the best fish and chips. The waitress even gave us a blue Quidi Vidi beer glass because we were CFAs (Come from Away)!

We were staying in Holyrood for our last night in Newfoundland and found this place on Trip Advisor. It was a fairly long wait for our food, but they were pretty busy both inside and out on the patio. Our food was very good. My husband and I shared the fish tacos and we each had fries with dressing. My daughter had a cheeseburger and fries. All the food was very good. I'm glad the waitress warned us we were ordering a lot of food - originally I ordered the fish tacos just for me and saw they didn't come with fries, so ordered the fries as well. There is not way I could have eaten all of that! There is a beautiful view at the location as well. We went for a walk along the trail and by the water before leaving.

First time here and I ´ma sorry I never went before. The fish and chips were excellent, probably the second best in NL. The fish was so fresh and the batter so light. The chips were a nice golden brown and were perfectly cooked. Service was quick and efficient. Only problem that day was credit card terminal was down. If you’re a fish and chips fan, you’re have to go. Oh and did I mention it’s on the beach

We planned a road trip to Holyrood today and eating here was on our list of things to do. They have it pretty organized with calling in your order and having it delivered to you outside. Hard to get through though as it is super busy but totally ok because there's great reviews on the food. My granddaughters had fun talking to every person that walked by as we waited out side at a picnic table. Nice set up for eating outside. Was excited when our food arrived only to be so disappointed when it arrived. The fries were just 'ok' and definitely could have been cooked longer but my fish wasn't cooked at all. I have been trying the fish and chips on all of our road trips and this was the worst. Very sorry as I always try to give a good review but really can't today. Understanding that this place is non stop busy and maybe they are trying to get the food out to you as soon as possible but there isn't a discount for uncooked food. It was a nice experience, beautiful day and layout for outside eating and nice view but I won't be back for a meal any time soon.

We just happened to go here recently, without reservations, and didn't have to wait too long for a table of 4. Our meal was excellent and not too pricey. They have a ruben sandwich on the menu and some other unique stuff, in additional to typical pub fare such as fish and chips, hamburgers, etc. The decor is cute with lots of historical train pictures from the area and you can go for a walk along the old train rail path right from the restaurant.

Loved sitting on the outside patio, good covid protocols, fries. and resting excellent, turkey soup was excellent and home style! The cod was a little disappointing because it was overcooked and creepy..was hoping for the melt in your mouth experience! Service was a little slow....

After a family round of golf at a nearby golf course (The Willows), my family and I stopped in for an early supper. My daughter and I had a half club and fries each, my son had chicken tenders and fries and my husband had wings and chips. Everyone loved their food and we unanimously agreed the fries were the best we had tasted.... ever! We sat outside in the deck, which was beautifully maintained and clean. We really appreciated the COVID measures being taken. My newest appreciation at restaurants is being given a photocopied menu. The waitress was young and very nice, she explained everything perfectly. Our first visit, we’ll be back! 😊

Nice place on the water. They have a large patio, but the weather wasn't great today, so it wasn't open. It is a busy place and just a short wait for lunch. Great staff and a good menu and a few nice desserts. The food was great! Definitely stop in, if you're in the area.

I cannot get enough of this place. Was there the last 2 weeks. Prices good. Food fantastic. Desserts to die for. Staff are so friendly. Last week tried the cinnamon roll cheesecake. Best cheesecake ever. Loved it so much, I order a full one for Thanksgiving. Closing for the season on Oct 11, so get there soon. Oh and make sure you order the onion rings.

Absolutely delightful. We had a light lunch of soup and sandwich. Both were freshly made and delicious. Although it was quite busy, the staff were attentive and we were served on time. We definitely recommend.

We stooped here for lunch with some friends. We ate outside with a nice view of the sea. The food was ok, nothing bad but nothing exceptional. Average.

While driving through Holyrood on route to Brigus we decided to stop into the Station Diner for a meal after hearing brilliant reviews. The building itself is stunning, almost panoramic views of the ocean and the bay. My partner ordered the Jiggs dinner which was the special of the evening, but unfortunately they were all out of Jiggs so he instead ordered turkey with the fixin's, but was extremely disappointed at the portion size as it was minuscule. Essentially the biggest letdown of our visit was the customer service we experienced. The woman who served us seemed to be possibly the owner, sat us in a nice window seat, only to come back several minutes later and tell us she had sat us in the wrong spot. She then moved us to a seat across the room which sat the same amount of people. It was incredibly awkward, rude and extremely unnecessary. We felt this was inappropriate and overall put a very foul taste in our mouths. So overall I do not recommend Station Diner due to the poor customer service & over-priced, mediocre food.

It's a small place with lots of parking but it was packed full and lively. The food was DELICIOUS, with large portions and local flavour (the dressing). I had the chicken pieces and ended up taking half of it home. The service is outstanding and locals eat there and the service staff seems to know everyone. The place was warm and cozy on a cold and windy day and there is a view overlooking the harbour, which is just meters away. It seemed as if we drove far to get here - but this place is worth it!! Avoid the fast food choices - eat here!

Dont judge the food by the surroundings! An old caboose, or a railway station? Really? But this little place serves up some of the best food to be found in the area: fresh not frozen cod, fish and brewis, a local delicacy were wonderfully prepared and served. Full marks to the chef! One measure of its success is a lineup at 2 pm.

I have not yet had the opportunity to try the food here, but waiting patiently. While I was taking a Sunday drive and passed this little Diner that I have heard so much about, I decided to make a visit for a take out-order, But after waiting for an hour and no sigh of my food, I cancelled the order and left. It did not appear my long wait had anything to do with poor service. I guess they can only handle so much. The people were lined up, outside the door. Wow ,I thought....I can’t wait to try this food! Maybe I can camp outside their door, the night before.😄 I will try again and when I do, I am betting I will be back here to give another great review about the food.

Thank you so much for your patience! We certainly are a busy little spot and try our best to serve each and every guest in a timely manner! My guess is you were patiently waiting for takeout on a Sunday evening😊 We will remain open till late October and things usually will slow down over the next couple of weeks!! Looking forward to sharing the Station Diner experience with u!!
