Lapa Lapa is a must to eat

This is one of the best places to eat in Sunny Beach, the staff are so friendly and attentive. The half roast chicken is one of the most popular dishes, the food is good quality and great value for money and they also show all the major sports events. Best time to visit is early evening 5-6 to make sure you get a seat as it can fill up quickly.

Best place ever

This is literally my favourite restaurant in the world. If I lived here, I would stop cooking. We spent 10 days in Sunny Beach and we ate here almost every day. Every dish was delicious and very reasonably priced. Really big portions. If you see a picture on the menu, that's what's your dish is gonna look like, so no lying about that. Our last day of holiday we were gonna make ourselves breakfast in the hotel room, but we actually decided to throw ingredients away and go to Lapa. People working there are so incredibly nice and caring! The waiter knew our preferences, so we could read the menu while drinking beers :) and the man who we assume was an owner or manager always cared if everything was ok. Thank you so much for all of that. As for the food, I especially recommend: pork knuckle, battered shark and homemade chocolate cake (the cake was so good I could cry). Also all the opinions about "dry" chicken are not true, the chicken was very juicy and delicate.

Awesome Restaurant

Absolutely would recommend this restaurant. We ordered chicken liver with butter, roasted potatoes, steamed vegetables and mushroom sauce as well as pork kavarma with vegetables in a tomato sauce. We also had one tarator (cold bulgarian soup) as a starter. Additionally we ordered a big bottle of water, 500ml of red house wine, and an espresso. Bill was 48 Leva (around 25€). Only cash payment possible. The chicken liver was superb, soft and the sides were also very tasty. The kavarma was also very good, although I would recommend taking the chicken version, instead of pork. Very friendly, multilingual service. Must go.

Lapa Lapa Best Restaurant in Sunny Beach

I do not write reviews very often however after visiting Sunny Beach every year over the past 15 years we have tried almost every restaurant in the area. I have to say that consistently Lapa Lapa delivers outstanding food and service and it is obvious why they are in the top 5 on trip advisor year on year. The staff are always outstanding and while I understand that prices have increased Lapa still provide the best measures for drinks for the price and the food is always very reasonable and delicious. In these times other restaurants in the area advertise one price on a menu outside the restaurant and another inside so be beware.

Another Gem

Popped in for tea after reading good reviews. It's away the hustle and bustle of Flower Street, across the main road and round the back of the Atol Hotel. Service was good, welcomed with a smile and asked where we would like to sit. The menu's are varied, and they have a kids menu. Food came all together, hot and definitely cooked fresh. The chicken skewers were cooked to perfection. I've had some dry chicken in my 4 visits to Sunny Beach, but these were probably the best, and the chips are 100% the best I've had in SB so far. The kids even ate all their meals, and they're usually fussy eaters. Will definitely be visiting again before we go home. 4 meals, 3 beers, two cokes for £36.

Great Food, Good Value

Ate here last night. Service was quick and came with a smile. After a mojito each we ordered our meals which were well cooked and very tasty Portions are also generous. The price is good for what you get and compared to many of the other restaurants. Overall it was excellent.

Well Worth a visit

Finally got to return since the world wide lock down and well worth the wait. Were greeted with the smiling faces of Milen, Ivo and there family and staff. I chose the steak as did quite a few of our friends and it was cooked to perfection and good quality, my wife had lamb on hotplate and also cooked to perfection, all come with wide selection of vegetables, washed down with ice cold shcumenscos,what more could you ask for.We always book as very popular and to avoid disappointment. Highly recommend for all tastes and occasions. Thanks guys

Great food, abhorrent/bad service and rude server

We went for lunch on the 10th of July(exactly 2 days ago), and I must say the food was good, the atmosphere was kind of expected(i.e. like a Bulgarian Pub) however some of the staff did not treat us(and our friends) as we have been treated in every other restaurant/pub we visited. The server in question(Иван/Ivan) was quite rude to one of my friends and in a demeaning tone requested that he put something on his body(his top, to be precise). Even when my friend informed him that he did not have a top clothing on him(as we just got to the place from the beach) he continued insisting(quite arrogantly) that he "put something to cover himself. Honestly, this was not the case in any of the other places we were eating at and it left a bitter taste for the whole experience. You cannot expect someone to wear a top when you're in a beach resort and the primary attraction is the Black Sea. I understand the pandering to foreigners but you CANNOT expect locals(and foreigners included) to follow that request when presented in such a manner(and without any sign anywhere that states that you must have a shirt on or any other top clothing). If anyone is reading this, be prepared to deal with rude servers/waiters. Avoid if possible, there are better alternatives where the staff will not treat you in such a rude manner as here. Delicious food in unpretentious surroundings

Enjoyed a very enjoyable meal with family and friends in this smaller and more authentic restaurant away from the main strip. My chicken on the bone was absolutely succulent and everyone enjoyed their meal. It’s a comfortable, unfussy place which prides itself on its food rather than posh surroundings and delivers well. Hello to Evo who we enjoyed a chat with on his more esoteric beliefs 😉 Certainly worth giving Lapa Lapa a try.

Family meal in Lapa Lapa

Once in a while you find a restaurant on holiday which stands out from the rest, this is one of those restaurants. Set just of the main strip on a side street. This family run restaurant makes you feel at ease with their friends staff. The menu is just right with the choices it provides and culinary delight when it arrives at your table is just spectacular. The meal in my opinion was 5*****. If your nearby give it a go don't miss out. Thank you to the staff and the Chef who made our last night in Sunny Beach a memorable occasion.

Definitely recommend

Just finished dinner in here. Have to say, again, my 8yr old daughter loved the pizza and garlic bread. My wife had carbonara, I had the sizzling mixed platter and our aunt had chicken and chips. We shared a bowl of Mussels, Fair price for food which was hot and well cooked. Delicious. I would definitely recommend going here at least once. The only only criticism is that we had to use Google maps to find the place. Been to SB 5 times and this was our first visit! Absolutely deserves 5 stars!!

Myself and my partner visited Lapa Lapa a few times in our time in Sunny Beach. The food was lovely and so inexpensive. We enjoyed every minute. One little thing is that some of the staff don’t seem like they can handle the pressure of a busy restaurant. One night we waited quiet awhile to get the attention of a staff member.

Tasteless experience

The food wasn’t nearly as good as we expected after reading these reviews. The Caesar salad contained only a few pieces of fried chicken, and a lot of tasteless chopped lettuce. The food seemed fresh, but if you are looking for tasteful meal I would definitely not recommend this place.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner

Visited Lapa Lapa twice during 14 night stay. Word of warning it is cash only restaurant. Both times the food was fantastic - 1st visit we had chicken skewers which was lovely - cooked to perfection.2nd visit we arrived a bit earlier in the evening and we both ordered 1/2 chicken which is absolutely amazing - so moist and tasty. Drinks are a great price and service was very attentive. Prices are great for a lovely restaurant.

Family night out

We visited this restaurant at least three times this week,and as usual the food was great, price wise we couldn't fault it. Staff very friendly and attentive. If we go back and to Sunny Beach this restaurant will definitely be on our list to visit
