On your way between Geneva and Luzern, you should make the time to stop in this wonderful little town, especially if you enjoy Swiss cheese. This is as real as it gets. You may get in a small traffic jam if you leave too late in the afternoon. The place is also known for the ski slopes nearby. You should... More

The restaurant itself has a nice environment and the service was excellent. We had the menu of the day for 19 CHF offering simple nice plates with home-made taste

This restaurant has a great environment, good service and, of course, an excellent "cheese fondue". Very, very tasty, this fondue 50/50 is made with 2 cheese (Gruyère and Vacherin Fribourgeois). The best that I've ever eaten. And as a dessert, take a "meringue avec double crème". Impecable.

Very slow service and at times impolite. We had a rösti which was lukewarm and of poor quality. On top of that, prices are quite high for both food and drinks (10 CHF a bottle of sparkling water). Many tourists stop here to eat after a visit to the fromagerie because it's just in front; however, it's really not worthing... More

After visiting the chocolate factory we thought we would have food from the restaurant infront of the cheese factory and then visit the place. The restaurant was a utter disappointment for us.The waiters were not polite and she took more than an hour to server just two dishes. We had to wait with our toddler doing nothing just to eat a... Had a lovely lunch here with my mum. Prices are very reasonable for Switzerland and the fondue was excellent!

We were late for the cheese demonstration but decided to stay and try the fondue! The staff is very helpful and the fondue is well presented and very tasty -- a serving size for one was more than enough for three of us to share and feel very full! Still adjusting to Swiss prices -- fondue for one in a... More

We stopped here for the cheese museum tour and couldn't resist the aromas coming from the restaurant. Fondue is served for 1,2 or more persons. Typically it's served with small chunks of bread and small potatoes. We find this just too much with the delicious cheese. Now, we are bring pre cut vegetables with us to dip in the fondue... More

While visiting Switzerland in December our friends took us around the countryside and we visited the cheese factory and had a quick lunch here, as I love cheese. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but the mac and cheese we had with Gruyere was amazing and the best we ever had. The soup was also very good.

While travelling back from a ski holiday in the Swiss Alps stopped for a short while at Gruyere. After visiting the village had lunch at Restaurant de la Maison. Food was fine but not particularly good value for money. We weren't looking for much so we ordered soup and salad. CHF9 for soup is a lot and we had to... More
